THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!! I mean AH-MA-ZING, TOP NOTCH FOR SURE!

I was 3 weeks away from my wedding and still needed to get alterations done to my wedding dress. I knew typically these things take a minimum of 4-6 with my wedding being so soon I was a little stressed and PANICKED thinking I wouldn't be able to get it done it in time. After looking on Google maps for the nearest alterations and a few uneasy phone calls I decided to do more research.

LK Design was the FIRST name that popped up on google & after seeing all of the WONDERFUL reviews I decided to reach out. I SERIOUSLY CANNOT THANK THEM ENOUGH for taking me in and getting everything done that needed to be done to my dress (adjusted straps, took a few inches off the bottom, bustled it all up, and the amazing work the did with removing the lace from the bottom that had to be adjusted and then replaced back on the dress...needless to say she is VERY talented.) My dress was done in 2 weeks!!! Not only was I panicked on time, but also how much it would cost to me; She is VERY affordable.

Three weeks before my wedding reception I decided I wanted a whole new custom made outfit. I found Couture through a friend and called her up and explained my situation. Like many other custom tailors in Richmond, she could have told me my timeline was too short and she couldn't help me. Completely the opposite, she invited me in that same day for an appointment. Her store was very busy, but she took time to understand my vision and help me select the perfect fabric. Her fabrics and pieces are very reasonably priced and her work is flawless and so professional. Though I do not recommend waiting until the last minute as I did, she is very speedy.

My custom top and pants were more than I could ever have imagined and I got so many compliments at my wedding reception and could not have felt more beautiful.

I just loved working with the shop owner Lilya. She combined my ideas with her expertise in clothing design to create the perfect “Mother of the Groom” dress for me. The dress looks very good on me despite the fact that I have scoliosis (curved spine) because she made the proper adjustments so that it would fit just right. Lylia goes out of her way to make sure you are completely satisfied and truly takes an interest in you. On top of that, she’s just plain fun!

There is no other store in the Richmond area quite like Couture By L K Design. It is chocked full of fine quality fabric. While there I never felt rushed even though the shop is very busy.
