I went to the Armenian Food Festival today. Soooo thrilled that it was back after a 3 year hiatus! I have been several times in in the past. Always a great experience, the warmth of the people, entertainment and the delicious Armenian food. I had the Hye Burger Combo (ground sirloin and lamb burger with Armenian spices; pilaf and lupia-Armenian green beans), Beeshee-Armenian style donuts, and took home Lahmajoon-Armenian meat pie. Proceeds from the event benefit several local charities including: Feed More, VCU Health Heroes Fund, Good Samaritan Ministries and the Fund for Armenian Relief (FAR).
