The RVA Group is amazing. They helped me more than I could have imagined in buying my first home.

If you had asked me even a few months ago about home ownership, I would have told you that I had no desire any time soon. But as I thought about the investment, I quickly became a champion, and none of it would have happened without this team.

I first met Daria, my agent, a few years ago at one of my favorite restaurants. She quickly became one of my favorite people in Richmond. When she started as an agent, she gave me her information. And while I was proud of her for starting this new endeavor, I still wasn’t sold on home buying yet. I know a lot of agents - family members, friends, etc - but when I began my process, I knew I had to work with Daria. And I’m sure glad I did! She also helped me with the process of getting out of my apartment lease. I consider her a friend!

Brian, the broker, really knows his stuff. He’s been in the game for decades and is smart on the housing market. Although I was a first-time home buyer, I am very thorough and do a lot of research. I also ask a lot of questions. Brian was patient with me and guided me in the best way. One example was getting a second home inspection (Did you know that only 1 in 10 people do?). After the seller and I agreed to what he would repair prior to my closing, I thought I was done. Brian’s advice on the second inspection was spot on, because without it, I would have never known that some key repairs the seller and I both agreed upon were not fixed! Brian saved me from some real potential troubles!

Necole, the Listing and Transaction Coordinator, was so helpful through the purchase process. I am a very organized person, but even I can get overwhelmed monitoring all of the important dates, measures, etc. She kept me (and the team) completely on track with everything.

Joan Small is the absolute best, and I'll tell why. So, I found her number when I was only looking for a rental property. She was the sweetest and most genuine on the phone, and we ended up not using her but I kept her number for when my lease expired again. She ended up reaching out a year or two later to see how I was doing and if I needed help again and she ended up encouraging us to buy and still we put her on hold while looking at a house and not even sure if we would buy. She worked with our lender and didnt sweat that we didnt use her usual. She found us a veterans discount and honored it the whole way through and really, she didnt have to do it. I wouldve never known. She worked hard, and kept in touch and explained the process with no judgements and a very comforting voice and assured me throughout. Not only that, a year into our new house, she was the first one to send my new baby boy his first birthday gift. That was truly special and I appreciate her for that. I bought my first house this year and at every step of the way it felt like the correct decision.
