Its been nearly impossible for me to sever any & all ties with this company. ..To try & condense a very long, drawn-out story into a few paragraphs; a few years ago Xfinity raised my internet prices (they did this several times) & after conversing with them, they very dishonestly upsold me on adding a mobile line (which required them to send me a device). This line, they said would lower my internet bill. ...So be weary, they will always try to up-sell you bundles that you dont need & Trust me; you dont want! Dont let them talk you into it. They are just trying to collect a commission...
With this added Mobile line/Device, I did get slightly cheaper internet for about a year, until they raised the prices again -within approx 1 years time.
So after over 2+ years of rising costs for service, & more importantly, paying for a mobile line I didnt want or need...and a device that to this day, has NEVER been used, I decided to cancel services & go with another company for internet. Ive called and chatted with Xfinity dozens of times now, and they just wont cancel the mobile line. Ive also tried to send the unused device back and its just a bridge to nowhere. I mean, youd think it would have been paid off anyway after a couple years...but apparently not! They wont send me a tag. They did tell me they would a few different times, but it just never happened. They just wanted to get me off the line for the next person to have to deal with - leaving me chasing my tail in a perpetual doom loop of endless non-resolutions.
So they always say they got the line canceled and I no longer owe any balance, BUT....Theyre lying, every time! IVe tried calling and chatting- having to re explain the issue EVERY TIME.. What they do is kick the can down the road to the next billing cycle and just tell you to take them at the word the issue is resolved & no balances are due.
They constantly try to bill me different arbitrary $ amounts that make no sense (different $ amounts at random intervals). So I canceled the card they are trying to charge. They call me constantly trying to collect payment where I again, explain the issue & tell the story...., ive had no services since end of Feb, but they are like a cavity. They just wont stop. Avoid business with Xfinity. They've never had a great reputation, & have only become progressively worse...
Read moreThe staff at the Richmond location were great! Everyone was friendly and chill, the registration process went smoothly also. The process of getting everything hooked up at the house on the other hand was absolute garbage. Im this mad as I'm writing this review right now which isnt really my style but here we are. The Techs and customer service reps lied to me for 2 days straight saying they were coming to hook up the WiFi, as scheduled, and never showed up. They even sent me a text saying they actually arrived at my location and were gathering tools, etc.. and still never showed , as I walked up and down the street lookin for them and it making me late for work!!. What a joke!! I run a small online business and I was counting on them to arrive as scheduled. This put me in a very serious pickle with my shipments. Im in my new place with no friends or anywhere to go here to keep my operation running..no phone call..no text...no nothing!.. said they just couldn't make it because of the "bad" weather on a perfectly sunny, summer day when I called. Its nearly impossible to get a hold of an agent as well..🤣. DO NOT COUNT ON THEM SHOWING UP ON HOOKUP DAY!!!!!!!About to cancel my service today! I hear boost mobile has a great deal for internet service!! Even if this never gets ready by ANYONE!! I feel...
Read moreComcast is still ILLEGALLY signing their customers up for bundle packages they never inquired about or were asked to consider. They used an internet phone number from their own internet phone service as the order contact number. They added $5 to my bill and a bundle package with things I dont want or need. I told them to undo this and they removed the additions but refused to restore my previous monthly payment. Comcast was JUST FINED for hundreds of thousands of cases like this, and they are STILL DOING IT. Seems like the method is using a phone number they can generate via their Voice service and ordering bundles containing products they wish to impose upon customers in order to expand market share in things like phone service which they can't monopolize locally. They add a little money to your bill hoping it goes unnoticed. And they are so confident that they'll get away with it they don't even bother to feign surprise when you call and tell them something is going on with your account. They didnt even take the extra 5 dollars on my bill. They even TRIED TO CONVINCE ME TO KEEP THE BUNDLE. Comcast is as unethical as a business can be without literally killing their customers. If I had any other option for broadband internet I'd happily switch to get away from this...
