Red Lobster — Restaurant in Richmond

I'm not even sure where to begin. Waited for roughly 45 minutes for a seat, which is understandable on a Friday night. Got seated and began looking over the menu, as we were undecided on what we wanted and our waitress whom was rather short and rude from the begining, said well then you want me to bring your biscuits and drinks and then you can decide? She returned we placed our order for ultimate shrimp, we wait and wait and sitting at table 6 in the back it sounded like we were in a rage room due to all the plates and glasses being dropped in the kitchen area, and the kitchen crew sounded like a bunch of children in a daycare, laughing and screaming.....One hour later she returns to our table and says "I hate this place"! Then proceeded to tell us that they ha e a new computer system and apparently our food order didn't go through somehow, so they're speeding up our order. The manager came over to our table and apologized and said she would give us an appetizer on the house, half hour or so goes by and still no appetizer, our food finally makes it out, we take a couple bites and our waitress comes over and says ready for refill? We replied not yet, but the appetizer would be nice, she brings appetizer and then a guy returns with another appetizer. I said you know what after all this just put that one down here too. By now I'm sitting there without another shrimp choice as our waitress was nowhere in sight, she finally returns and insists on telling us how much she hates it there, and how much money they have to spend on all the broken dishes, how bad she hates her job and so on. I said you know what, I'm done with this and I would just like a box for the remainder of our appetizers. The manager returned and gave us a very minimal discount on our meal. $43 was still far more than I would have wanted to pay for this experience. DISAPPOINTED Red lobster does not accept reservations however they do have call ahead. Our family party of 12 made did the call ahead the 15th for sept. 16 my brothers birthday. We showed up at 530 to tell them we were there etc. they said it would just be a few mins and they would have us set up. One hr goes by and we start asking what's goin on. Other parties our size etc were goin back and we were they before them and they were just putting their name in. After being seated at 730 we placed orders etc. our menus were left on our table and servers used our table to take some off and put back?!? Then another server handed us boxes and bags w biscuits BEFORE we even got our food. It was taking for ever so I asked the manager if she could check on our food she came back said it was coming up and that she would take 20% off our bill and give my brothers for free. Also 930p the manager comes over and asked if it was worth the wait. I kinda laughed. We had 4 little kids w us one that slept thru dinner because of time. Another that we couldn't calm because she was so hungry and tired. The other 2 were tryin to be good but that's a very long time for little kids to be good!!!! New waitress. I ordered the Roasted Garlic Crablegs- all the minced garlic is on top of the legs, extremely messy and give the crab meat no added flavor. I was not given any extra napkins. Coffee was cold. When asked for my side, I requested a salad. Only thing asked was,"what kind of dressing?" No mention of an up charge of$1.99, because a salad is not considered a side. There was three of us eating together and anything we needed we had to ask for at least two times, or get it ourselves. Or experience was not good or enjoyable. I asked for the charge of the salad to be removed, the manager came over and said I should have read the menu then I would have known the salad was extra. I'm sorry, but that was my only side. Not an extra salad. Plus the potatoes under the crab legs were so over deep fried that my fork wouldn't go into a lot of them! She said, "yeah that's the way they are." Really, they're not to eat?! Ugh. We won't go back. Over priced and terrible service. Because the waitress was new, we still wanted to tip her. Her lack of training is not her fault. The manager did give us a friend and family discount, not enough to make us want to come back. I truly hope if you go, you have a better experience and your food is warm and edible, ask for plenty of napkins if you eat the garlic...
