There are many people who care deeply about the dogs here and want what’s best for your pups! Unfortunately, management cares more about money and quotas. It’s supposed to be one Camp Counselor for every 25 dogs in the yard, to prevent overcrowding and to keep your dogs safe. I challenge you to watch the livestream and count how many dogs are actually in the yards - you’ll notice there are many times they are overcrowded for hours, especially during busier seasons. This overcrowding results in irritated dogs (would you enjoy being pressed up against others shoulder to shoulder in one of those yards?) This causes not only more fights between the dogs, which significantly increases the chances of your dogs being hurt, it also puts the safety of the camp counselors at risk (speaking from experience!). On top of this, it’s simply uncomfortable for the pups and frankly not the personal care the patrons are sold. Hopefully there are changes made higher up to prevent this from happening - the counselors love your fur babies and are doing their best with what they’re provided. This lapse is absolutely on management, who seem to be willing to take these risks. The question...
Read moreI have a 10-month old Great Pyrenees mix with LOTS of energy. I can walk her and run her, and after a good nap she's ready for the next best thing, possibly mischief or other usual puppy stuff. Gotta love her! She goes to Camp Bow Wow 2x a week, and everyone benefits! She comes home tired, and a sleeping puppy is a beautiful thing! There are cameras so I can see what she's doing at Camp, and it's no wonder she comes home tired. She is always on the move, walking around, checking out what the other dogs are doing, playing with friends, etc...The socialization is great for her. Even if another dog is a little too forward (i.e. playboy) with her, she sets that dog straight. I'm glad that Camp Bow Wow is close to home and that it's a second...
Read moreI do not recommend leaving your dog overnight here. My dog was left alone for 12 hours (7am-7pm). I had no idea they would not let them out at least once during the night. My Great Dane in no way can hold her bladder for 12 hours. Plus there was a terrible storm during the night and she was in such a panic from trying to hold it and keep from going in her kennel that she got a uti and had blood in her urine. (Great vet bill I had to pay!) They were rude when I picked her up and she now is terrified of storms (never was before.) Hopefully their polices have changed as this was a while ago and I just now remember to review this...
