Ok. When I read reviews for all you can eat sushi my main questions are: (1) is everything included (hibachi, entrees, etc), (2) how does the process work and (3) is it any good? I will answer those questions here.
1 and 2. If you look at the photos from other folks you will see a black and white form that lists menu items with a blank fill-in line beside each item (sushi rolls, salad, a few hibachi like chicken, veg, also soup, fried items, dessert). When you sit down and order drinks, each person gets this 1/3 page form with a pen and you fill out how many of each item you want. These are the all you can eat buffet items. You can order hibachi entrees with rice separately if you want and you don't have to eat buffet. But all the sushi rolls are on the buffet. And that's why I was there.
Be advised the fried wonton was THE BEST I've ever had. But they only bring one unless you tell them with a number on the form (like 3) how many you want. They do this with all the fried items. The default is one. You put a check mark or x, you are getting uno. If you want more, put a number!
I ordered the vegetable teriyaki, spicy kani salad, wonton and 2 shrimp tempura sushi rolls and a California roll. (What?! I was starving.)
I waited for maybe 3 minutes and the wonton was out ..so fresh from the grease ..yuuuum. Before I finished it the kanti salad came and then the sushi right after and then the teryaki veggies. All at the table within 4 or 5 minutes or less.
Now there were only 6 customers, 1:45pm on a Tuesday, so maybe if they are busy it is slower..but when they brought my sushi they brought another order form. I never waited for a dish and they kept my orders flowing. I ordered another California roll and fried banana. It was one piece of a banana.
Everything was really good. Delicious. There isn't a single thing I tried or ate that was anything less than phenomenal except the fried banana. It was just a piece, never had it, tried it, but not a fan.
I paid $16.50 plus tax and tip.
Overall, I highly recommend. Can't...
Read moreI went for lunch because I reallyyyyyy wanted some sushi. Went with a friend, and they got the steak hibachi, which was a nice portion and was only about $10-$12. I go for the all you can eat sushi. The price last time I visited about a month ago was $18 for dinner. For LUNCH, it was $20+, but I only realized after the ticket was brought out. They also limited my rolls to only 5 or 6. They boarding refused to bring me out any wasabi or ginger (which was a weird tan color instead of the bright pink it normally is). We ended up having to cut the lunch short, but I had a roll and a half left. My waiter finally came over and asked if I wanted the check and a to go box. I started to opt in for the box until she told me it would be an additional $3 for the to go box. Total ended up being almost $50 for the two of us with only one drink since I had water and they had tea. Will attempt again at another time, but this service was strained for me. Maybe I'll just stick to dinner...
Read moreThough nothing photo-worthy, the sushi is okay, except for the Crunchy Roll which shouldn't be a menu item at all. What really broke the visit is the cold customer "service." Entry was typical though unwelcoming. We felt rushed on the drink order. There was ample time to select our rolls and prep time was reasonably normal. Our server brought our three-person order on a single plate and set it on the table the same way I toss my dog's bowl on the floor when in a rush. We had to call her back to explain which was which and whose; she begrudgingly obliged. When we finished, we were asked if we wanted more, not realizing until then this is an all-you-can-eat setup. We ordered a single Crunchy Roll only to learn that it's just the crunchy stuff rolled in rice... an insult to sushi worldwide. At this point we just wanted to leave. I hope they are able to equate tip amounts to quality of service.. Perhaps our expectations would have been different knowing better....
