Playero Surf Shop — Local services in Rincón

Review is solely based on my phone inquiry and subsequent visit to the store in Rincón. I called the store yesterday because I was thinking of ordering tshirts online and there is no size chart on the site. I thought of getting 2 sizes and returning one. The person who took my call, Ilana (?), was very helpful. She offered to call me back with info on returns because she wanted to attend to customers who’d come into the store. Ilana checked the merchandise at her location and it turns out the store is very well stocked. I decided to go to the store today as we are staying a few towns south of there, in Cabo Rojo. I met Ilana in person. She was gracious and knowledgeable. It was a great customer service experience....

Was on vacation and excited to visit this surf shop. We were welcomed when we walked in by a young dude with long hair and glasses. Myself and my daughter walked around, grabbed several items- bathing suits, tops, even a shirt or two for my other kids and proceeded to the counter to ask to try on. At that point customer service here was out the window. Apparently my empty drink that was under my arm “spilled” on 3 of the bathing suits. He told me I could not try anything on other than those 3 suits… He continued to be rude to me, took my drink and put his nose in it and started smelling it… even had the audacity to call me a drunk. Completely unappreciated. Don’t spend a dollar here!!!!! Better surf shops on...

I have to start and say it was not a very welcoming environment. No Hello, welcome, can I help you? Etc... I grabbed a few items and put them on the counter and was ready to pay, no acknowledgement whatsoever, he could’ve said, I’ll be with you in a few secs, no. He was busy doing paperwork. Until I said I’m ready when you are? He told us give me a second. Not a care in the world! Obviously they don’t need business. I will never place a foot in that business again! Rude staff and they don’t need your business. There’s other shops better than this one. Go to Aguada. Better shops with...
