Nordstrom Rack — Local services in Riverside

Awesome store men's department has a good selection of brands mostly surf and skate which I was looking for. The 2 stars I give this store have nothing to do with the way it's set up or its customer service. I can share that I was approached by a young lady in the men's department that actually made me feel very welcomed and offered to help which was GREAT! THUMBS UP to NORDSTROM EMPLOYEE!!! What really did discourage me and why I'm giving this store 2 stars is that as I was shopping in the clearance section I over hear 2 women which looked to me as managers by the way they were dressed talking to the young lady that was helping me, one of them which I later asked and I was told she was the store manager seemed very upset and was rudely speaking to the employee I can even say at one point she was yelling at the young lady because I could hear her voice all the way to the clearance section where I was shopping. I could over hear her telling the young lady that "they didn't do things for fun"(had no idea what she was talking about) but it honestly made me very upset and uncomfortable to have witness this unpleasant encounter between a store manager and an employee whatever the reason was I don't think the tone of voice and the way it was being delivered was a right way to do it. Poor kid I can only imagine how she felt after that conversation. Sucks that something like this can ruin someone's shopping experience, only reason i would be returning is because the young lady's service was amazing and it made me feel like I was shopping at a regular...

Bought a pair of sneakers only to drive home (22 mi) and discovered the security tag was not removed. I drive the 42 mi round trip to have the security tag removed, spending 12-15 in gas to fix their mistake. I was told by Taylor (or however its spelled) that I would like to a credit to offset the unnecessary out of pocket expense due to their mistake. She becomes hostile, loud, bulldozing voice that while she's sorry they don't do that. I asked it if this were reversed and they didn't have an extra 15.00 to pay for someone else's mistake, she was like well get over it. Only offering to provide a number for the manager after asking repeatedly. Apparently this is the spokesperson for Nordstrom. Now I call the store and I'm passed around from person to person apparently no one's in charge. Thanks Nordstrom for lowering your legendary standards and values to where Walmart looks likes a high end store. Keep spreading the hate and negativity the world so desperately needs more of instead of being a place where one can feel somewhat special if even for a few minutes. Selection is not very good. Zero customer service from associates on the floor. I find it very odd that the back of the store has tons of boxes stacked, it’s completely unprofessional and unsightly. Brands you would see at regular Nordstrom is almost impossible to find at the rack. The brands the do offer are cheap never even heard of designers. I’ve honestly found higher quality brands/merchandise at Ross and TJ Maxx for way better prices. The stuff they do have are cheap quality items used as fillers for the sales floor. So disappointed to see this is the new normal for the racks compared to a year or two ago. I’m begging the buyer to purchase brands that people actually...
