Iâve been a regular at this JARS location since moving to the area, and the experience has been disappointing from day one mainly due to the manager, Kevin.
When I first inquired about employment, I wasnât met with professionalism or basic respect. Instead, Kevin interrogated me and dismissively told me to âgo work at the one in River Rouge,â without asking a single question about my experience or qualifications.
On Black Friday, I came in for their doorbuster event, and Kevin tried to deny me the promotional goody bag, claiming I âdidnât spend enoughâ even though the offer wasnât clearly defined. Then, after noticing how packed the store was, he said heâd âbe niceâ and give it to me. The way he handled it felt weird and selective, like he was playing favorites.
Most recently, I came in to fix an ongoing issue with loyalty points something Iâve had to bring up multiple times because my purchases never seem to register properly. Kevin was called over to help, and his dismissive attitude and poor customer service made the whole interaction uncomfortable for both myself and the budtender (shoutout to Chris, who remained professional and helpful throughout).
After expressing my frustration to the receptionist, Kevin overheard and decided to insert himself into the conversation, trying to go back and forth with me. When I brought up how he previously dismissed me when I asked about a job, he responded, âWell, weâre hiring now if you want to work.â I told him flat-out that if this is how he talks to people, thereâs no way Iâd work under him and I certainly wonât keep spending my money here . As a manager, Kevin showed zero effort to retain a loyal customer. I left that store visibly frustrated, and not once did he offer an apology, a solution, or even a simple gesture to make it right. If I were running a business, I would never let a customer walk out the door feeling dismissed and disrespected especially not one whoâs been supporting the brand. That alone speaks volumes about his leadership. Someone from corporate needs to assess this situation before it spirals into something that damages the brandâs reputation and trust with the community
I will not be returning. If you choose to shop here, beware Kevinâs ego is bigger than the storeâs commitment to customer...
Read moreIt was my first time in JARS and every employee that worked there was very pleasant; even tho I came in 15 minutes before closing. I had âSamanthaâ as my bud-tender. She was exceptionally patient with me, very pleasant & knowledgeable on what is best for me and my style. I appreciated how understanding she was and I will definitely return again in the near future! Thanks to her & the team she worked with from the greeter , to the young lady that checked me in and then they all either said, as we left, âHave a great evening!â & â Thanks for stopping in and hope to see you againâ in the most upbeat feeling and it made me have the impression everyone really enjoyed their job with one another & working for the company! If that isnât the case, than they are doing an exceptionally great disguise of not; which I believe everyone was very genuine behind their words!!! JARS RECEIVES 10 stars from me, hands downâŚ..5 stars isnât enough!!!!! Ty SAMANTHA for making my first visit a positive...
Read moreThis place is WONDERFUL. The budtenders are always so knowledgeable and friendly, always kind, always patient.
I'm always happy to see Lilly. She's usually at the check-in counter, and she's amazing. Makes me feel like a friend while I'm there, and it always brightens my day. She was my budtender today, which was a nice surprise! (a woman of many talents, lol) Point is, she's awesome.
