Mirage Jewelers was able to restore a ring I was given from my family that used to belong to my grandfather. I had it sized at another jewelry store that proceeded to high polish it saying it was "dirty" from it sitting for so long. The ring always had a matte appearance to it. I was so disheartened at the results because this store completely changed the look of my grandfather's ring. It wasn't until Chuck from Mirage looked at the ring, and noticed some of the pattern that wasn't polished off. He informed me it was called a Florentine finish that gave the ring a matte appearance through a cross hatching technique. This was the first time I ever heard of this. The diamond they sold me was a step up from being the worst quality diamond however, I paid three times what it’s worth. Also, the appraisals they give you for their jewelry is completely inflated and they will fail to properly describe the cut and clarity of the diamond in the description. They use the word “quality” instead. What that means is if you have an insurance claim and there are no descriptive words as to the type of cut and level of clarity then you will receive the lowest quality of diamond and you will not receive the highly inflated price they list your ring to be worth and what you’ve paid to insure it. I had requested a repair of a prong on my wedding ring and was visiting from out of state. I didn’t give the jeweler much time which is why I asked repeatedly if it would be done before I flew home. I went to pickup the ring and it hadn’t been started and the jeweler wasn’t in that day. I picked up my ring, let them know I was not happy, especially with no reason or explanation. Once I arrived home, I received a call explaining there was a family emergency and they wanted to make it right so I shipped it back and they took great care of me!
