My wife and I had the most amazing time with our guide Jorge. We've been PADI certified for almost ten years, but never gone beyond a few muddy lakes in the Midwest. This was our first time diving in the ocean and it was perfect. It's a shore dive so you get your tank on and walk out from the beach a couple meters. Go over the gear and a few basics and then "dive" right in.
Blue heron bridge was the 2013 PADI dive spot of the year and in the top ten dive spots in Florida. The artificial reefs have built up real coral and the amount of sea life was breathtaking. Jorge stayed right with us, always there to help if there was a struggle and he took us to see the best spots. He even made sure we always got good video of us and the sea life. 10/10 we'd go again. Best times are between an hour before and hour after high tide for visibility. Just ask when booking and they'll tell you what they'd recommend for the day.
You have to be scuba certified to bring your own GoPro or underwater camera, but no worries if you aren't. They have options where the guides will take videos and pictures for you.
You don't need any diving experience to enjoy this world class location. It's exactly what they say, a chance to "try scuba"!!! Thank you for an...
Read moreJorge is a wonderful instructor. He made it feel very enjoyable to learn step by step instructions. I am from Pennsylvania and every time I stop in Florida I surely will be having a lesson especially with Mr. Jorge. He compared breathing through the respirator like Darth Vader from Star Wars and I was thinking yes I can do that. He had so much patience even with all our flaws he still knew how to put on a big smile. He even showed us tricks like using baby oil to remove any sand and keep the goggles from fogging up. He kept checking on me in the water to make sure I was okay. He showed me different aquatic creatures. I even kept a shell that he gave me. If you forget everything he taught you just remember to breathe in the respirator and relax. Mr. Jorge can instruct you everything even under water. You will be fine and have so much fun. We had 30 minutes to do some real diving but trust it is a true workout for the...
Read moreI went scuba diving for the very first time with Tabitha , and I couldn't have asked for a better guide/instructor! From the moment we met, she made me feel completely at ease — calm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. She explained everything clearly, made sure I was comfortable with the equipment, and kept a close eye on me the entire time without ever making me feel rushed or overwhelmed. Underwater was like entering a whole new world, and thanks to her, I felt safe enough to truly enjoy it — the marine life, the serenity, the freedom. She has a natural gift for both teaching and sharing her passion for the ocean. I walked away not just with great memories, but already planning my next dive! If you're thinking about trying scuba — especially if it's your first time — do yourself a favor and book with her....
