READ THIS REVIEW- Sorry its a little long, but worth it. I rarely write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience to help future travelers. Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was far from pleasant. As others who have negatively reviewed the Amrit mentioned, Do NOT believe the fake five star reviews. I should have believed the negative ones be for we booked our stay. The positive reviews are clearly phony and do not reflect the actual hotel experience. My son was injured on our first day at the resort which I will detail below. ||The Amrit is both a hotel and residence. We rented a unit from an owner through VRBO. for a week in April. The unit itself was nice, spacious and generally clean. BUT the hotel is a disaster. Like someone else said, from a distance it looks high-end and luxurious, but once you look a bit closer you'll start noticing the faults. This was clearly built very quickly and rushed. |The construction quality was very poor. The overall build felt cheap and hastily done, with unfinished molding and cracks in the floors and poorly sealed windows. The staff tries to be friendly, but they clearly haven't been trained properly and seem very confused and overwhelmed.||As I mentioned, my son was injured in the elevator, but was lucky that he wasn't more severely hurt. Our first day at the resort we were taking the elevator down to the pool and my son was holding the bar attached to the wall and leaning back. The bar detached from the wall and the entire panel fell down on top of him, pinning him to the floor.(he is 5 years old and weighs 40LBS- so this obviously shouldn't have happened.) I had to lift the panel off of him so he could get up. He was extremely traumatized, but lucky he only walked away with a scratch to his chin and lip. (included a photo of the panel missing) I immediately went to the lobby and found a manager to speak to regarding what happened. He was kind, but was a temporary fill-in manager. I told him what happened and mentioned that i had read some other reviews about people saying the hotel was poorly constructed and rushed. He basically admitted to me that was true and that they were doing the best they could to work out the kinks. He took an incident report and passed me off to the main manager Burak Sezgin.|He eventually contacted me and was apologetic and sympathetic. However all he offered me a voucher for a future stay at the resort. I told him I would prefer to be compensated for some of our stay considering the incident. He said he would look into it but also said he would give us this future voucher regardless.|He asked for my address to send it to me which I thought was a little strange. Why not email or some other way? Well, we never received anything in the mail. NOTHING.|We also have NEVER received any compensation back for our stay, instead we have been given the run around for months and passed off to different people who work for the hotel. I did contact the VRBO owner as well. He was sympathetic but wouldn't offer me any money back because it didn't happen in his unit it happened in the hotel and he already carries hefty liability insurance so it was on the hotel to compensate us. Burak passed me off to the HOA director Todd who took 2 weeks to reach out to me. He said he would follow up and NEVER DID.|As i said, my son could have been severely injured in this incident but was extremely lucky to walk away with a scratch. I thought it was entirely reasonable to give us some money back for our stay considering the incident completely disrupted our stay, rattled my son and has made him totally fearful of elevators. |I wouldn't be surprised if this hotel eventually closes or gets sold to a larger hotel chain who can actually run it the way...
Read moreI flew down to Singer Island to try out winter living in Florida, while planning to keep summers and fall in New York. What began as a short stay—starting at the Marriott and Ritz-Carlton—quickly turned into a 5-month transformative experience at Amrit Resort and Spa. That journey led to a major life decision: I’ve now moved from renting to owning, recently going into contract at the Peace Tower, with closing scheduled for July. What started as a trial has become a permanent chapter.
From day one, the staff made me feel at home—packages hand-delivered by Tim, doors opened with a smile, daily greetings from everyone, and valet service that is consistently professional and reliable. Their warmth made the transition from guest to resident seamless.
Wellness is now at the center of my lifestyle. I work out daily across four on-site gyms and walk 5 miles up and down Singer Island every weekend, often wearing a 30 lb weight vest—something I never thought possible at nearly 59. I’m now in the best shape I’ve been in over 30 years, and I continue to work full-time with no plans to slow down. Amrit gives me balance: work hard, play hard, and prioritize my health.
At first, I lived here solo—a few months of bachelor life was fun, but it wasn’t meant to last. My wife, Denise, will retire next year after 30 years as a New York teacher, and she’ll be joining me full-time. This lifestyle was always meant to be shared.
What surprised me most is how many people want to visit. My children, nieces, nephews, employees, long-lost friends, and even clients—including the Ambassador of Turkey—have come to stay. Everyone wants to escape New York winters and experience life at Amrit. Owning here has become a game-changer for my personal and professional relationships.
There’s also a growing social energy that makes life here vibrant. I often wind down with drinks or iced tea from Ralston, an amazing bartender from Jamaica, or Lulu, who always gets it just right. I’ve built real friendships—including with Milo and his amazing dog, Fabio—and love the pet-friendly atmosphere, with dogs at the pool and a dedicated dog park.
You’ll also find barbecues, a co-working and pool table room, and North Palm Beach Country Club right next door for golf. Amrit makes it easy to live well in every sense.
Suggestions to Management:
I truly hope management continues to support the incredible staff—they are the soul of this place—and consider a few simple enhancements to make the experience even more extraordinary:
Revise the restaurant menu: Currently it’s too fancy and not approachable for everyday dining. Add more normal, casual options breakfast buffet , normal lunch and dinner copy Marriott it always packed follow there lead Add live music to the bar on weekends to energize the social atmosphere. Open the outdoor pizza oven down stairs -simple, crowd-pleasing, and great for casual nights. Turn on the outdoor fire pits at night to create a more relaxing and cozy evening environment. Give the young guy at the Tiki Hut a shot at running the downstairs bar—he’s got the hustle and heart to bring it to life.
Massive thanks to the amazing Front Desk Team, led by Kathy Etzer, and supported by Stephen, Dorothy, Anderling, Samuel, Joanne, Rochelle, Claudia, Nash, Mirlande, Evans, Vanessa, Nakesha, Brandt, and especially Andrew, the best valet on the island. And of course, Ralston and Lulu—thank you for the perfect drinks, conversations, and energy every day.
Amrit isn’t just a resort—it’s a lifestyle reset. A place to live better, feel stronger, and connect more deeply. I came here curious. I’m staying because I found more than I...
Read moreMy Wife and I were looking for a local resort for a stay-cation. She found the Amrit Ocean Resort in Riviera Beach. Not being a fan of the area, I was hesitant. After looking over all the resorts in the area, I agreed that the Amrit seemed to be the best. While there's a lot to like there, there's a lot to improve on as well. The location is great. Right on the beach and located just a few minutes from I-95. It's also very close to one of the best diving and snorkeling areas, the Blue Heron Bridge. None of that mattered to us since we just wanted a spa and beach to relax at. Pulling into the valet stand is very tight, and in a way was representative of our stay overall. Has all the right parts but lacks proper execution. We were greeted by very friendly and engaging staff throughout our stay. It was absolutely the best part of our stay. Specifically, I must call out Whit, the Concierge. I'm not sure I've ever seen a Resort staff member who took a guest's happiness so personally. Above and beyond is tattooed on this guy's heart! Can't thank him enough for making our stay special! Although we arrived early, they were still able to give us a room. This came in handy since we had spa services scheduled that afternoon. Initially, our beautiful oceanfront room was very much appreciated but soon we realized there were issues. The whole bathroom is surrounded by glass walls! Even though there are shades to mostly close off the bathroom, the frosted glass door for the toilet wasn't the best for privacy. The room is well designed and well appointed. Plenty of room and a huge outdoor patio area, overlooking both the pool area and the beach. My only suggestion for the patio would be more seating(there's only 2), and foot rests would be great. The tech was a letdown. The TV suffers from terrible cable/satellite connectivity, as well as no streaming services available. On top of that, the free WiFi throughout the Resort was terrible. The last, yet most problematic issue with the room, was the A/C. It was noisy and poor performing. So bad that we were warm while sleeping and the room was constantly damp feeling. Even our cloths in the closet were damp. And with that dampness came a musty odor. Our spa services were a mixed bag. Mine was fine but my Wife had a massuse who was not only too talkative but tended toward pushing religious topics. I would also point out that neither of us are large people but we both struggled to get our robes to cover us. While wandering around the spa, we both noticed other customers holding their robes closed. Beyond them being ridiculously small, they felt thin and cheap. The one and only restaurant at the resort, Tula, was great. The menu is rather limited but the food is great. A couple other issues: No gift shop The building lacks an easy way to get to the path to the beach. Overall, the resort has a lot to like but, I doubt I'd go back. A shame because they really have a...
