Market on Melrose — Local services in Roanoke

They have things that they give away free on Friday apparently it's a limited supply I was unaware of that. So I went to grab the free product and one of the employees of which I've already had an issue with but never said anything to the management about it came and snatched the orange juice from me and told me sorry that they didn't have anymore. It wasn't about the fact that they didn't have anymore it was the way the employee reacted and responded I've had an issue with her before and I do not appreciate her responding like that all she had to do was say that wasn't it and I would have kindly took it back. It’s so nice to see such a pretty and very well-done grocery store in this food desert. The prices are comparable to most stores. The fresh food is very affordable, which made me very happy to see. There were some things that were pretty high priced, but they’re just starting out and they’re bargaining power Isn’t strong yet.

And it seems to be a stop for cyclist, as I was going in there was a group leaving, and as I was leaving, there was a group coming in. 🤷‍♀️

My family took our first trip to Market on Melrose today and it was awesome. Great store, clean, wonderful selection (we even found things we can't find anywhere else!), and the staff was hands down the best in the area! The prices were very reasonable and my son loved having his own kid sized cart! We decided on the way home that this is our new "go-to" grocery store. Definitely check...
