Shenandoah Restaurant — Restaurant in Roanoke

Okay mixed bag review, but over all thrilled with this place.

The sort of negative first - I'm not sure the menu prices are accurate as we paid $40 for 3 items priced as $12.50 each on the menu. And I know it was not tax, that was charged separately.

Positives - On the note of the bill, my child couldn't eat something and they offered to replace it and when we decided against replacement (They decided to share their sisters fries) they took the item off the bill without us asking (I would have been perfectly happy to pay for it, I mean we DID order it and they did make it after all).

We will absolutely be eating here again. The waitress was amazing. Super sweet and friendly and patient. Everyone was great. We all felt welcome and happy, every time there was even the start of an issue they headed it off.

The food was delicious, even the kid with texture issues ate their entire meal which never happens.

I. Went into the restaurant last night and for whatever reason, there is a young lady there that has had an issue with me for two yrs now, i ordered buffalo wings and i waited for them, upon doing so a customer mentioned to her that they had a waiting customer( me) the young lady proceeded to tell me rudely that i could wait my turn like everyone else, i said nothing about having to wait on my food, the customer at the bar did, i have never been disrespectful or hateful to this young woman in all the yrs i have came there to eat, i even go on my lunch breaks at times, so on my way out i had a few choice words about her and her nasty demeanor, 25$ on two orders of wings i can and will spend elsewhere, i will make sure from now on to warn friends and family too steer clear of the shenandoah, if i was talked to rudely then my friends and family would be also, i have enjoyed many memorable moments there ovet the yrs but since i was talked to so disrespectful and nasty i...

Took a Lyft Ride to Roanoke from Staunton. First time in this city. Not only that, but I'm like 45 minutes early. Coffee!! Search area..Shenandoah Restaurant. Cars park outside and sign says home cook meals. I'm all for that.

I walk inside and customers are at the...I'm gonna say bar because it feels like I just walked into just that a bar. Feels warm, cozy and relaxed. I could really enjoy a breakfast with this type of atmosphere.

I came for coffee. Ordered. The woman behind the counter who took my order... She said she likes the smell of coffee, but she didn't drink it. You had me thinking, and I'm still thinking what I like the smell of but I don't eat or drink. The only thing that even comes close.. I like the smell of a skunk.

Just for coffee, it was good. Hot and different from what I'm use to. Too bad I couldn't stay for lunch. I saw something about Catfish. If I'm ever back in Roanoke..this place is where I'm going...
