Cody (Kody?) saved me! Here for Half IM 70.3 Blue Ridge and 2 hours before bike check in my tire wouldn’t deflate. Something happened to cause the “inner core” to break. Could not pump or deflate and was already stressed and full of anxiety about the race tomorrow…called them in a sheer panic to help me (I can ride forever but I’m slowly changing tires especially the rear one!) also couldn’t get it to deflate which made it even more difficult… I called and they told me to head over & Cody repaired it in less than 10min The girl who answered (didn’t catch her name) was soooo helpful in telling me to just breathe and stay calm as if she was a 911 operator (I was a mental disaster when I called!!) THANK YOU Roanoke Mountain Adventures for repairing my bike so I can race tomorrow!! I’m so very grateful.

✨”best bar in Roanoke” ✨”the owner is a sagittarius but still pretty cool” ✨they put up with me as a regular and that’s saying something Jokes aside. The staff here is super personable and helpful/transparent with questions you might have. If you need a quick repair riding the greenway just need a more practical way to find outdoor gear, this is the place. Being able to drop off gear I don’t use/need and pick up what is relevant to me now with store credit is the best. It’s been especially helpful for things I couldn’t rent or borrow, but only need on a one-off situation (and just resell when I’m done so others can do the same). They carry new items now too, it’s nice to be able to restock on white gas and bike maintenance supplies all in one place.

Where do I even start with RMA?! These folks are so friendly and helpful. Their gear is always great quality and reasonably priced, I love giving a second life and new home to used gear that might have ended up being thrown away. I love their perspective on recycling and reusing quality gear. They are also top tier for bike repairs, and I always feel that I can trust them to be honest/real with me and only replace/recommend things I actually need (or even teach me how to do it). They know their stuff. I can't get enough of these folks. Just yesterday, I was in there and blown away how ORGANIZED the shop was, it was simply incredible. They do a ton in the community too, I could go on forever…

We were in from CA visiting friends in Blacksburg area during Christmas week, the weather was great. If I would have known the weather and trail conditions were so good, I probably would have humped my mountain bike the 3k miles along with me, as the trails around Roanoke and B-burg are some of the best in the USA. My son had a positive experience renting a bike from RMA a few years ago, so I gave them a call. Dan set me up with a Guerilla Gravity Trail Pistol with my choice of pedals. He also set me up with a pack, a multi-tool, a pump, and a patch kit! The bike was a hoot, it had the exact same rubber that I run on my bikes, same gearing, bar width, etc. The GG's are versatile bikes with modern geometry. I rode Carvins and Brush Mountain, and the Trail Pistol rode like it was tailor made for my trail choices and how I like to ride. The rental rate for such a quality bike was exceptional, not to mention Dan's personal attention to the details. If you are in the area and you need to ride to maintain your sanity, call RMA and you can shred some world class trails on a bike that's up to the task! Thanks Dan,...

Can't say enough good about this shop as a biker! In addition to a good mix of new and used bikes, they have the best selection of ebikes (including Velotric, RadPower, and Marin) in the area and are one of the only places that works on multiple brands of ebike. The staff helped us find the right ebike for us and didn't mark up the price at all except for an assembly fee that was less than if I ordered online. On top of that, when we picked it up, they took the time to check and see that our existing rack wasn't heavy enough for the new bike and found us a used rack that would work at a great price, then helped us hook it up even after official closing time. Adding to that, you can take test rides on the greenway. Every one of the 4 different people who helped us is knowledgeable, personable, and clearly not out to upsell beyond what makes sense for you. Update: fell on the ebike and it needed major work. They took the time to explain, to find the best cost-effective option, and...

On Friday September 26th 2025 my family went in the store looking for snowboard boots. They were told that merchandise wasn't going to be put out til sometime and November. So we will need to purchase elsewhere. One of the female employees responded with "Well that won't hurt our feelings". In a world where brick and mortar stores closing right and left I definitely wouldn't speak to customers that way. I understand items not being put out as early as September, but waiting til November will make this establishment lose potential business. We have never shopped this store and we definitely will take our business elsewhere now. We try our best to support small businesses in our area. This is disheartening how disrespectful people can be.

Edited: to be clear the 2 star review is for the rudeness of the female employee not bc the merchandise was unavailable. First impressions...
