Passaic St Barber Shop — Local services in Rochelle Park

I have been coming to this barber shop for about 3 years. Few minutes ago I had stooped by for a haircut, the guy who cut my hair few times in the past wasn’t there today. The guy that was there today has cut my hair in the past I think his name is Raheem. When I walked in to the store He was standing in the back room, there was no one else at the store. He ignored me for a few minutes then he walked out and asked me with an attitude YES ( meaning what do I want)? I said I need a haircut, he points towards the chair, as I am getting ready to have a seat he starts arguing with me WHY I don’t let him cut my hair and I let this other guy do it. I explained it to him because last year you messed up my hair, then I tried this second barber and I liked his way of cutting. He argued back and forth for few more minutes and the situation started to get heat up and I decided to leave.. I been driving around 15 miles round trip for last 3 years to come to this Barber shop. I wonder why all the good barbers leave this shop after working only few months at this location. Raheem is the only one who’s been there the longest.. management should investigate why other workers have left? I am sure the reason would be Raheem.. I will not be returning to this shop...

This Barber Shop has been here for decades, it's under new ownership. I've been coming here, weekly, for over 6 months and the stylists: Mustapha & Raheem are very skillful & cordial.

I always come for a shave & haircut (check out my pictures), my barber has always been Mustapha, unless of course he has a day off.

Mustapha is very talented, he does an outstanding job.

After cutting my hair and trimming my long white beard lol. He commences to apply cream to my face and gently massages it in. Then he proceeds to place a soothing, warm towel over my face for a few minutes, removes the towel and starts to shave my face with an actual straight razor! Do you know how difficult it is nowadays to find a Barber or Stylist that uses a real disposable straight razor? Almost impossible lol. Once done shaping up my beard, he again applies cream and massages my face, brings another warm towel and removes any excess cream from my visage.

Mustapha completes the final touches with a light spread of hair gel to style my hair and after shave for my mug.

Raheem is the definition of consistency and professionalism. Every time I sit in his chair, I know I’m getting a clean, precise haircut that’s done right. His attention to detail and calm, focused approach really set him apart.

The barbershop is walk-in only, but it’s never an issue — the wait is minimal, thanks to his colleague Sam, who’s just as talented. Whether it’s Raheem or Sam, you’re in good hands. They keep the energy laid-back, the service top-tier, and the cuts always on point.

One of the underrated perks? Parking is super easy. There are plenty of spots right by the shop, so you don’t have to stress about finding a space or dealing with meters. That alone makes the whole experience even smoother
