I visited your bowling alley on the 15th of March, and all seemed well. During the visit, one of your attendees came to our lane which we rented for 2hrs (Lane 19 & 20) around 8:30pm to walk up and take two of our bowling balls.
After the bowling ball was taken, my family went up to the counter and inquired “Why did you guys remove our two main bowling balls?” Your team explained that those are kids' balls and I’m not sure why would that matter anyway at a bowling alley if our fingers fit the ball. The entire bowling alley was nicely filled and for some odd reason, we were the only one that seemed to be targeted with the allegations. After explaining the seriousness of using the smaller weight ball (My niece was with us only 12, and my partner has spinal stenosis) they would need a lighter weight ball.
Moving forward; Your team provided us with the smaller ball back, and the night continued. My partner picked up the ball during his turn, and after the first bowl, our lane light cut off. I waited a few seconds as I thought something technical happened. I proceeded to the front counter and explained to the team member, “Our lane not operating.” Your team member stated; “Yes, I cut it off because he continued to use the smaller ball.”
I explained the importance of the reason for him using the smaller ball and also my niece was using the same ball. The team member did not care about the explanation and did not care about the seriousness of my partner's condition. My family and I were very upset about the situation and requested our money back to be told to contact you about the issue.
I’ve been to multiple bowling alleys and I never encountered anything like this ever. The best solution could have been the team member explaining the reason for taking the balls before we even had to approach the counter, the main issue, per OSHA law, I would have thought your establishment would be ADA Compliant even the fact of the HIPPA law. They stated he rolled 14 in speed so that is a reason. I never heard of anything like that and if he did roll a 14 speed how does that justify the level of weight he can handle?
My family and I decided to leave the property, as it ruined our family game night. Upon leaving the location, in the parking lot the police arrived. They asked me if I threatened the team members. I’m a 40-year-old man, with over 26 years of management experience, which does not mean anything, but I understand the method and safety. Nothing got to the point of the police being called, which was embarrassing.
All this could have been resolved with a proper conversation, and If documents needed to be shown for my partner that could have been provided. I’m explaining to one team member another one came out to explain, overly talking the other team member became confused about who to express concerns.
I know we all have a job to do, but customer service was not there. Having a nice tone does not make it customer service. The approach, communication, and understanding of the...
Read moreUpdate: after they asked me to contact I did contact them, he asked me if I went to front desk to get the shoes replaced. I said yes, and then the only thing he said was okay just wanted to check if you went to front desk about this. Really?? That is what I mentioned in the review below it doesn't make any sense to call and confirm the review again. I thought they were trying to resolve the issue that's why they wanted me to call but seems like just wanted to confirm my statement. Hopefully they understand the issues sooner than later.
The worst place to go bowling for. They just ruined our weekend. They had all worn out shoes and the bowling area is too slippery that you will most definitely get hurt if not careful. They seems to be too outdated. Seems like the reviews they are having now are from long back. There is no food available inside as well which just makes it horrible. Hope they atleast maintain the place properly or get some new equipments. This was like instead of having fun we were totally passed off with...
Read moreThe staff was nice, we asked for an alley by itself because we needed to practice and they gave it to us. 10 minutes after we were there they parked a group of 4-6 adults and around 8 ill mannered kids next to us. Every time one of them went to bowl, all the kids gathered up on the Alley, jumping around, yelling and acting obnoxious. I'm not a prude and I don't dislike kids, and I know how kids will be kids...but...it's just rude. One of the kids went as far as walking down the gutters. An employee came out to say something to him, so they were obviously watching, but they continued to let them jump all over the alley while people were bowling. It's was so irritating. What made it worse is that the adults with them just let them do it. On top of all of that the lanes were just okay. I probably wouldn't ever go back there and my husband for sure will...
