Hillcrest Shopping Center — Local services in Rochester

It's an old strip mall that is close to a freeway. I gave it points for easy access and subtracted a point because it's an eyesore.

Generally speaking, Rochester is laid out like a typical suburban locale. Which is to say it's an urban planning failure.

Nice town, don't get me wrong. I like it here and all, but in terms of urban planning the place could have been laid out better with better public transportation. As far as I can see the public transport is a reaction to an economy that doesn't pay working class people enough to even purchase reliable transportation and the requisite insurance.

Poor people tend to have less credit, thus pay more for insurance. They have less money to participate in the economy or save for retirement...

Only negative was we went to Charlies for lunch and the place was packed full of women playing cards; quite noisy. One woman even had an automatic card shuffler going. It IS a restraurant FIRST; have some respect for those wanting a quiet lunch! Go play in the bar and take the card shuffler...

Went for breakfast at 630 am Charlie's and ghost town? Poor Charlie just can't get ppl to work the hours advertised? Oh well Brothers was hopping & the breakfast are always...
