I was buying my sister a Christmas gift and the only one in the correct size had a stain on it. I went to the customer service desk and he looked up the item to see if there were anymore of that item, which there wasn't in store. He directed me to a kiosk to order the item to be delivered to my home, which is pretty convenient. The issue is that the kiosk is fairly difficult to use. The scanner doesn't work all that well, typing in the UPC didn't find any results for the item, and payment with a gift card is not clear. I had to push the button to call for assistance, and an employee was by shortly, but had no idea what to do. He called a (H2) manager to come assist, who was by within 3-5 minutes. I thought it was a bit long, but it's the busy holiday season. This manager was rude and condescending. She acted like she didn't have the time to assist me, which she probably didn't, but it's what she is being paid to do. She just cancelled the whole process and made me start over. She tried to type in my information for me instead of telling me to use my fingernail instead of skin to tap the screen. It would've been more simple to tell me that instead of asking me the answers to fill in my information. She then looked at me like I was some idiot because I don't have a Kohl's Credit Card. I told her I was happy to swipe my Capitol One Credit Card or my debit card and she scoffed at me and acted like it wouldn't work. I was eventually able to complete the purchase and left the store with a bad taste in my mouth after dealing with that manager. Never take out your frustrations on a customer no matter...
Read moreWow! I'm not sure if it is all Kohl's. Or just this location but I have never felt more valued as a customer and cared for as a person more than at this Kohl's in Rochester today.
First. I'm up early this morning. Worrying about finances. Which is a usual occurrence. My credit score is 470.
But I figured I would take a shot at a Kohl's store card. And boom. Immediately approved for a 300 dollar credit line.
But!!!!! It doesn't end there. I was able to use the credit hours later. With a first time card purchase discount of 40 percent. Ok that's pretty sweet right.? Ya.
So I'm at Kohl's. And Kohl's is basically saving my quality of life. And I get so much! Everything I needed really.
And!!! At the register. My total came to 315$. And I was thinking for about 10 seconds about what I was going to put back. When the manager comes over. And says I don't have to put anything back. And she did something on the register. And brought the total to 298$... No questions asked.
I'm tearing up right now. I didn't think the world did things like that anymore.
And! I bought a turbo speed phone charger and block for half the price as Walmart. And that is their all day price. Not even on sale. And before the 40 percent discount. I think 13 dollars for a turbo block and 4 foot turbo cord. Before the discount.
And! I earned about 80 dollars worth of...
Read moreI find Kohl's deal with Amazon returns to be a scam and a sad attempt at staying relative in today's market. Good idea though; why else would somebody who has a internet connection step foot in a Kohl's. They give you a 25% coupon for completing a return, which seemed great. I had 3 items from 3 different brands at checkout when I was told none of these brands were eligible for this coupon. None of these brands were explicitly detailed in the fine print of the coupon. It's really a predatory tactic and puts their front end cashiers in a terrible position; I imagine they have to explain the coupon isn't usable on at least one item for every customer who tries to use it. In the end it would have saved me only like $15, but I feel my time was wasted and I was conned into even thinking about buying anything while there. Oh well, lesson learned, as I will just use UPS drop offs in the future and will never go to a Kohl's...
