Tint Horizon (formerly Med City Detail) — Local services in Rochester

Gotta say I'm a bit sad to write this review but I am a straight shooter so here goes. Our new (Used) car came delivered from out of state and had some dirt in the back after their shop needed to fix something. The dealership said they would pay to detail it. Wife called MCD and it would be $600 to fully detail the interior. Mind you this was after I had probably detailed 75% of it already as soon a we got it. I hadn't detailed the carpets yet but knew there were a handful of stains, so figured they would get them out. I should also mention that I detail our vehicles regularly so not to brag, but I know quite a few tricks. So I actually left a handful of things just to see how good they can do. We drop the car off being told it will take 6-8 hrs. I think my wife said they called within 4hrs stating it was done. (I would hope so given the dealership cleaned it and I went back through what they missed on most of it). Went and inspected it with the guy, (who was very nice by the way) and my wife immediately found a handful of spots they missed on the carpets and ceiling. I asked about a few things they missed and a stain they didn't get out. So the guy brought it back in the shop. Came back out within 7 mins. They got most of the rest of it but claimed it is hard to see in the shop....?? Thought that was an interesting theory. Then mentioned they don't clean the seat tracks because there is grease in them. They don't clean around any emblems on door sills because they don't remove them..huh?..There are tools and ways to clean them without removing them. OK not sure what to think of that?? Said they couldn't get the other stain out either. Not sure if the door jams were included, but there was a lot that didn't get touched. A handful of the spots I left I could see didn't get cleaned as well. At that point I just said ok. Since I was not paying for it. Came home and cleaned the rest myself. Including the one stain (something blue?) they said they couldn't get, using my Griots carpet cleaner within 3 mins. If I was paying for it I sure would have been upset and or thought I wasted a lot of money on what I would call a semi mediocre job. If anything it makes me want to get into auto detailing if I can make that kind of money for that kind of work.

So after over a year. After we spoke for over an hour and a half over this matter. With us actually coming to an understanding. You now come on here trying to still rebuke my accurate review??? Really, I think that speaks wonders of your character. I could really come in here and tell everyone my thoughts of you after our conversation. I'm very pleased with the care and work Med City Detail did on my new Kia Telluride. I was interested in paint protection film because I saw the benefits of PPF on my Lexus. Before I decided how much to do, I came in and talked to them in detail about what was available and what they recommended. I was conflicted with how much to spend on a non-luxury vehicle. Their computer program was able to add and subtract areas of the car giving me 'real-time' updates on how much different options would cost. Because they only charge for the film used, small areas (like door edges and underneath door handles), can be cut from areas inside the larger template areas and were able to be added at no extra cost. They were patient and willing to take the time with me to settle on a plan and made suggestions on "where the best bang for the buck" would be. Med City Detail made arrangements for a complimentary rental car and communicated before hand what to expect and when I could expect my vehicle. When they finished and I picked up my car, they walked me through their work, letting me inspect it with them and made sure I was happy with the results before I paid. When I got inside my car to leave, I realized they also detailed the inside of the car! This is Definitely an "extra mile" kind of business. I highly recommend...
