My most recent experience at NH was not as good as my first years ago for a small repair on my ring. The jeweler mentioned then that the shank was thin & I knew I needed that restoration soon. When I took my ring in on June 6th. I felt well received at the shop. A week later, The lady called to tell my repair would be $600.00, clearly said $600 not between “650-$750”. I wrote it down in my notes. When I picked up my beautiful ring restored on Thursday evening I was happy to have it back. The workmanship is good.

However, When she rang up the total to $803! I immediately said, wait.. I was told $600. The lady at the register showed me a hand written note on their copy of the record..that showed $650-$750 Ok under $750. I told her that I was told $600, and mentioned it seemed high but understood building a new shank, etc. but clearly remember her saying 600 not $750! She threw her hands up & said sorry, I don’t know what to tell you. So what could I say other than repeat what I clearly heard was not $750… that is a big difference & she saw the look of surprise when I questioned it seeing the receipt for $803.00. When I asked for the detailed receipt, she said the printer was out of paper & she would mail it to me. I found that odd too. She never did. I had to return to the store for my detailed receipt & it does not show the estimate of $650-$750 in the summary.

At this point, I am looking at my ring & the quality of the repair is well done & 14k gold is very high. So I am grateful to have my ring restored ❤️

I will never go back to NH. Although I was calm & my tone was kind, The sales lady’s demeanor changed as if she was dismissing me. Also, The jeweler was there & he did not even come out to speak to me to address the issue. I found that disappointing as well.

They were kind people and did a good job on repairs but the one thing I asked them not to fix/change that was dearly sentimental to me was replaced. I stated to the staff member specifically that the only thing i didn't want changed was a rivet put in by my father. I was clearly physically upset and crying in the shop and nothing could be done rectify the work that my father had done for me. Nothing was done they just looked at me while I cried. I dont remember the name of the person who helped me but they forgot to write down on the description that the only think that needed to be touched was the band. Not the rivets. I was absolutely heartbroken to see the one thing that I didn't want changed was different now and had to pay for it. Not only did I have to pay for it physically but mentally. One of the things I had left which was a memory was taken away. Have never had a good experience in a jewelry store until now! Trying to get my engagement ring sized to fit in a unified nesting band, and they were absolutely wonderful, kind, and funny. It was no problem getting my ring ready, and an amazing turn around time! I’m so ready to pick it up and I’ll update with the results. My new go-to place for ANYTHING

Update: my ring got finished in record time! I got a phone call this morning and I can’t tell you how good it made me feel for them to be just as excited about it being done as I was. Thank you so so much for sizing my beautiful ring, it fits perfectly with my wedding band, the fit itself is perfect, the band flawless.
