Tall Stories — Local services in Rock Hill

I ordered from this store through Abebooks and was skeptical. I had been searching for a deluxe limited edition book that was no longer being printed and the few I found for sale were either outrageously priced or written in German. When I stumbled upon it I was sure something would be wrong because it said it was New and the price was extremely reasonable for a deluxe first edition print that they stopped making a year ago! My strong desire to own this book made me take a leap of faith and buy it... and "Tall Stories" did not disappoint! The book was in perfect condition, absolutely beautiful, and arrived very quickly. They also packaged it very nicely before mailing so that it would not be damaged. I wish I lived close so I could actually go into their store! However, I will definitely be ordering online from this place...

First let me just say, if you like the smell of the library, you will love this place. But I must say, since these fine folks have wooden bookshelves, the smells of books mixes super well with the wood creating a euphoric nose/smell experience. Second, I love the wide variety of used books that Tall stories offers. And even more so, I love the selection of collectibles and cool signs everywhere. Overall this place is well worth a visit by anyone who loves a good book at a great price. And anyone who loves little collectibles would have a great time here also. Went there expecting just a regular used bookstore ( nothing wrong with that) but once I walked in it was a whole different experience altogether. So many wonderful, wonderful books and, what’s this? Some of them are signed and limited? Oh my this is a very dangerous place for me or anyone looking for a small press edition or a signed edition or a first edition but who cares. Throw caution to the wind and enjoy the sights and smells of hundreds of beautiful books. Can’t wait to go back when...
