The store presents a charming ambiance, complemented by friendly staff. However, the pricing structure is perplexing and disappointing. The majority of items are priced merely $2-3 below retail, and even significantly used books with worn spines are occasionally offered at 50% off retail. This pricing strategy appears illogical. The same titles can be acquired at any Goodwill or thrift store for $1-2. Despite my love for supporting small businesses and independent bookstores, the prices here are unjustifiably high. For instance, a Colleen Hoover book was priced at $12.50, while the same book is available at Target for $12. Additionally, the book in question contained a dead fly inside the front cover. Read moreThe store has a nice selection of books, but their prices are expensive for what they are selling. For instance, they were selling used paperback Little Critter books between 3 and $5. The $3 book that I bought for my son had writing all over the inside. In my opinion, it should have been a dollar or two. The books they sell that are new are also overpriced. Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw, was $15 at the store and I bought it for under $10 on Amazon. The staff are friendly and it is a neat little store to go into, but it's impractical to spend that much when you can so easily get it so much cheaper...
Read moreIt’s been some years since the last time I was there. Remember it being a lovely charming place to go and get books at a reasonable price. The place still looks lovely but environment is different. Felt I was being watched the entire time I was browsing. Every section I was in, here comes an employee, didn’t speak just there. It was unsettling and just wanted to get out of there as soon possible. The place just lost its magic for me. A shame I love books. Plus prices have went up tremendously. I can just go to Barnes & nobles for a brand new book for a couple dollars more or new...
