Had a not so nice experience today. I drove the 16 miles to this location as it’s the closet to me as I frequent every week. I get the exact same thing every time I go. Everyone is always friendly. But not today. I always get EXTRA onions on my sub as I have been for the past 20 years. Been going to this location for the past 5 . Today a young lady was making my sub and I asked for extra onions, well half way through me asking her to add more, the manager DOLTON said she can’t put anymore on there. I said excuse me I always get extra onions and it’s never been a problem. Onions are $1.25 a bag and you want to charge me for extra onions, I think not. He was just rude and frankly I’ve never seen him at this location so he must be new. I refuse to be talked to that way and being a loyal customer at that. This really left a bad taste in my mouth because this was all over ONIONS!!! I just paid over $12 for a sub and you’re telling me I can’t get more onions. SMH He needs to be trained on customer service and now makes me wonder if they were taking the price of the extra onions out of his...
Read moreI had to ask the guy working the register to put gloves on before attempting to make sandwiches. He was very polite and he did. Dealt with another guy at the end making the sandwiches. Rude! Had an I don’t care attitude. Slapped my pickles down in my hand because I asked him to put on clean gloves. We got 3 subs and a wrap. Mine was veggie made first, so I asked him to bag my pickles with clean gloves. He was hesitant about changing them so I told him I’ll ask someone else to make them. He finally changed them and bagged them. I wanted to talk to the manager and the only lady in there said she was the manager. I showed her what he did. She said she don’t think he meant it. First off how you gonna tell me what he meant to do and you didn’t see him! Sandwiches are good but that particular worker needs to work on his people skills. Don’t be rude to me because I asked you to change your gloves. The manager on duty needs to listen to the customer and try to come to a resolution instead trying to assume the worker...
Read moreIf you're looking for a good Reuben, this is the best place in the area for it. The service is great, and the cooks remember you fairly well. The owner also helps with the day to day work. It is not unusual to be waiting in line and see the owner himself cleaning the soda machine tray out, or wiping a counter. The staff definitely seems to work as a team and a fairly well coordinated one at that. The prices have gone up slightly recently, but, then again, everywhere has. As a sit-and-eat diner, the atmosphere can be very relaxed outside of normal lunch/dinner hours, or very very busy during those rush hours. There is a local radio show that does events there, and the hours for that are posted on the entrance, so if you prefer not to hear the radio show chatter, you at least have some forewarning that of it's hours/days, that said, if you wanted a slightly unusual atmosphere, you can always go during one of...
