The Edgebrook Farmers Market is an absolute gem in our neighborhood! Every visit is a delightful experience, and it's become a beloved Wednesday tradition for me.
The variety of fresh, locally sourced produce is outstanding. I'm a big advocate for supporting local farmers and artisans, and this market is the perfect place to do just that. From vibrant, organic fruits and vegetables to artisanal cheeses and handcrafted soaps, you'll find a wide array of high-quality products.
The vendors are not only friendly but incredibly knowledgeable about their products. They're more than happy to offer advice on cooking tips or help you choose the best items for your needs. It's this personal touch that sets Edgebrook Farmers Market apart from the rest.
The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming. Live music and food trucks add to the festive vibe, making it a great place to spend a morning or afternoon with friends and family. The market is also pet-friendly, so your furry companions can join in on the fun.
Parking is convenient, and the location is easily accessible. I appreciate the market's commitment to sustainability, with recycling stations and an emphasis on reducing plastic waste. It's clear that they care about the environment and the community.
Whether you're a foodie, a health enthusiast, or just looking for a fun outing, Edgebrook Farmers Market has something for everyone. It's an excellent way to support local businesses and savor the flavors of the season. Don't miss out on this wonderful community resource!
I look forward to my next visit and can't recommend Edgebrook Farmers Market enough. It's a must-visit for all local residents and anyone passing through. You won't be...
Read moreI will actually give the market a four star rating for the location and the variety of items being sold. My issue is with the gentleman who sells the fruits and vegetables, specifically the watermelons. I was there last week as well as today because I had some appointments in Rockford. I purchased two watermelons last week at a cost of ten dollars a melon. I thought that it was a little pricey, but the gentleman made his sales pitch and I bought the two. They were actually pretty good. I had another appointment today in Rockford, so I thought that I would stop over. I spoke to the gentleman again and now the price went from ten dollars a melon to twelve dollars a melon. I asked him why the price change in just one week. His direct response was "Do you know how hard it is to go into the field and pick these things?' I guess it was four dollars harder this week than the week before. Then he had to nerve to tell me "See ya next week!" Nah, I'm good. I don't plan on returning Once again, I love the market and I'm not even trying to talk about that particular vendor. I would just caution the buyer...
Read moreI was just at edgebrook at the farmers market so many lovely wonderful items that I would love to purchase. So I looked for the link/snap exchange table and I couldn't find it . Someone asked the manager of Edgebrook to speak to me. I asked her if they had the exchange and she said no and I said why and she whispered to me sideways that we're Edgebrook. (What does that mean when you whisper and give a sideways look at someone) so I guess poor is not welcome there. They don't want people with link over there at Edgebrook shopping at the farmers market. So I'm sorry all those Farmer market people that I couldn't buy from you today because I could not afford it and apparently I'm not supposed to be an Edgebrook because I...
