It is so infuriating to hear my mother call me and tell me that she was DENIED a service that she has to receive in order for her to get her chemotherapy.
My mother was denied a service by Ray yesterday. He said that because she had a balance on her account he would not draw her blood. My mother requires blood work for her monthly CHEMOTHERAPY.
She has been getting her blood drawn from this lab for over a year and a half and has never had any hostile or degrading issues with any other employees. There have been other times when she had a balance on her account and she was able to explain that sometimes the two insurances she uses don’t always communicate - every other employees working there kindly understood and drew her blood anyway.
Ray decided to act in a hostile manner and deny my mother her services. He said if she didn’t pay her balance, he would not draw her blood.
Can you imagine the lack of empathy and humanity someone needs to have to deny services to a person needing it for cancer treatment?
Because of his actions, my mother had to find another location to draw her blood. His actions could have resulted in delays in her monthly chemotherapy treatment.
I am beyond disturbed and infuriated with this company and specifically this person who caused my mother additional suffering and stress to her already stressful cancer treatment.
I hope that Ray is removed and not welcome back in a place that should be treating ALL of their patients with...

I signed in and sat down. While I was sitting another gentleman asked the person at the window if his orders were there, she looked to see and they were not, she was fairly friendly to him, I figured I should ask as well in case my doc didn't send them. I walked up and asked politely if she would check to see if my orders were there and she told me she was by herself, and wasn't going to waste her time looking for my orders and I should just go sit down since they were busy. Needless to say I was shocked to be spoken to like that and told the woman working that was very rude, to which she replied no it wasn't. I'm pretty sure I don't want her anywhere near me with a needle so I left, I'll try elsewhere. You...
Read moreGot denied services today by Ray, an employee of Quest diagnostic. He was borderline verbally abusive, zero customer service or minus 10 actually. I require blood work for my monthly chemotherapy but this inconsiderate employee how refused to give me his last name REFUSED to take my blood, even when for more than a Year and a half I have been going here. His rudnes and lack of common sense forced me to complain to his supervisor, Quest national website and to the Texas Health and Human Services. His actions or lack thereof, could have resulted in delays in my Chemotherapy monthly treatment. This, in my eyes I a life or death situation which this...
