02-14-2025 We had dinner and the food was fantastic. Flavors, presentation and service. I had the beef fajitas served on the hot plate. It was really great. The hot plate gave the meat and grilled onions and peppers that nice char. The guacamole was OMG! Good. Fresh, creamy with a hint of lime. Does have purple onions in it but for me that was perfect. The only very minor, minor, item was they were sliced with the grain instead of against it. Even that said they were so tender and juicy it didn't make any difference. They were delicious. I am still hurting after going to Walmart trying to walk it off. The burrito plate we ordered we had the cheese on the side that was a great idea. Got to use the cheese as a dip instead. I will say they have stepped up the quality of food and service much more than it was three years ago. Which we will begin to frequent our visits here more often. I have posted pics below. Sorry it looked so yummy 😋 I couldn't resist not taking a bite before taking pictures. If this helps you please give it a thumbs up.

3 yrs from 2025 Food was good. Wanted to try a few things so we ordered The Mexican Plate, the Flauta Plate and Fajita Tacos to try them out they are awesome have great flavor and taste. Believe it was actually flank steak cut into fajitas but cooked and seasoned perfectly. Rice was dry beans were good. Flour and corn tortillas were homemade and excellent. Chicken flautas were very good needed a touch more seasonings but still great. Crispy taco little disappointed shells are not homemade and ended up soggy on the side layed down little more greasy than I'd prefer and needed more seasonings disappointing since there tortillas are homemade. Tried the Sopapillas they were good little more thicker and not flaky but they were still good. It was karaoke night which was a little different but entertaining, music was just a touch on the loud side for your conversations at the table but was still good. Service was excellent waitresses was very attentive as well as other waitresses that didn't seem to mind assisting or checking on you as they passed by. Service from everyone again very well done seems as if everyone there gets along great with each other and it reflects with them all. Great Job!! Thank you for that. Food came out when it was ready chips and salsa were good. Pico de gallo was fresh and tasted as if they just got done preparing it from scratch. All in all would recommend this place. Definitely going to go back and have the fajitas they were fantastic. Then again it used to be a steak house prior. Maybe next time I will try one of their steaks as well. The bar is fully stocked with a large variety and quality top shelf. Plenty of great beer on draft import and domestic. Even if you are just dropping in for a drink at the bar you will enjoy yourself. Television on both sides in the dining area and the bar area. Sorry for not taking any dinner pictures slipped my mind my attention was diverted to someone singing. ...

Tried out La Tequila Jalisco today, and I’m honestly glad I gave it a shot. The place was clean—not just wiped-down—but actually well-kept. The staff was friendly, warm without being over the top, and they offered a 15% military discount, which is always a bonus.

Now for the good stuff—the food. Complimentary they bring out bean dip, and it came out warm and flavorful. You could taste the good kind of grease—like it had been simmered low and slow, mashed perfectly, and seasoned like someone back there knows how to cook without measuring. It was rich, salty, and comforting. As well as the salsa had that fresh-picante bite. The fresh cilantro gave it real body, and there was a nice hit of spice without burning your taste buds off. It tasted fresh, not poured out of a jug. It wasn’t the best salsa I’ve had but it did not disappoint. I ordered the Blue Margarita special (small, $12)—and while it looked beautiful, I’ll be real: it was overpriced for my pocket. It had tequila and blue curaçao, and they did it up right with sugar on the rim like I asked, plus two orange slices, a cherry, and a lime. It was decent—tasted like a good margarita—but for $12? Definitely a one-time buy for me. For the kids, I got the chicken fajita rice and cheese meal without peppers or onions—just chicken, cheese, and rice. It was only $8, and honestly a steal for the portion and flavor. The chicken was fully cooked, tender, and seasoned right. The rice was moist and better than I expected. The kiddos enjoyed their plates. My meal was the mini taco special ($15)—you get five small tacos with avocado, grilled onion, queso fresco, and cilantro, plus a side of charro beans and green salsa all in the side. I went with al pastor as my protein, and it was fresh and full of flavor. This was authentic and savory—from my guess it was seasoned with smoky guajillo and ancho chiles, cumin, garlic, clove, maybe a little vinegar, and achiote for that signature red-orange hue. You could taste the love in it. Slight char, tender meat, and it paired beautifully with the queso and grilled onions. THE TORTILLA WAS FILLED WITH MEAT. The charro beans were loaded with bacon and had that slow-cooked richness that makes you want a second helping. And the green salsa on the side, was clean, bright, and just a tiny hint of spice enough to wake up every bite.

La Tequila Jalisco is the kind of spot that surprises you. The portions are generous, the prices (aside from the margarita) are more than fair, and the quality is legit. You can tell the kitchen cares about flavor, not just speed. Would I go back? Absolutely. Would I order the blue margarita again? Nope. But for $8 meals and $15 plates that taste like this, I’ll be coming...

This is a sports bar more than a Mexican restaurant. Which is good because this is not Tex Mex. food. The lack of spice or seasoning may be ok for some, but it was not what I want. I ordered queso beef enchiladas. I have to say that queso they have is 🔥! It was sooo good. Not hot, but just a hint of heat with lots of flavor. BUT the beef in the enchiladas had carrots in it (odd-IMO but w/e I like carrots) and as far as I could tell no other seasonings or spices. No cumin, no chili powder, no onion… just bland hamburger. If you ask me that’s none of the good stuff. The rice was the same. Bland and flavorless. The refried beans were runny and unseasoned. My dogs didn’t complain, but my mom sure did. Her carne guisada was more like pot roast. It was two large chunks covered in a gravy that somehow managed to be just as flavor free as the other food. Also, the corn tortillas which we were told were fresh…well we agreed they tasted like plastic. I ordered a strawberry margarita, which was really good. Mom enjoyed her strawberry daiquiri as well. My take away was- good place for drinks and queso if you want to watch a game. The handicap ramps were clear and smooth. Rails were secure. Good door clearance and fabuloso clean...
