Bassett Furniture — Local services in Rockville

Had a great experience at Bassett. My wife and I don't have strong opinions on what we need or want, and the idea of furniture shopping is like nails on chalkboard. So, when our living room needed an upgrade, it ventured out. After failing to find something at several other locations, we went to Bassett. Our sales person (Meg!) was great in allowing us to venture through the store while not crowding us. When little components of what we liked began to surface, she began to build a room. We left the first day with a good impression of what could work. She followed up with a visit to our home with samples of fabric that matched our wall colors. By the time of our third visit with her, we were ready to place an order. The furniture came quicker than expected (on the front end of 4-6 weeks).

It's important to note that it's Made in America. That matters to us too. Delivery people were amazing. Historically furniture shopping is not a pleasurable experience for us, but this was pleasant and made us look forward to seeing it real life. Now that we have, we're looking around at other ways to spruce...

This has nothing to do with the staff at this location. It’s purely about the quality of the furniture.

We have had our couches and dining table for less than 5 years. Our dining table, for at least the last two years, is chipping. It’s disappointing considering we have followed the cleaning instructions recommended to us.

Our couches, which get normal usage (as couches should) look absolutely horrible. Since we got the couch, less than 1 year in, the back support cushions have bursted at the seams more than once. We tried to go through the warranty and it was a nightmare. It took well over a month to get to the right person who could help us as it was never explained that the warranties are 3rd party. We finally got the replacement and once again, the seams are ripped. Overall, the couch doesn’t wear well or clean well even though we were told that the couch would be great for pets and children. The seat cushions are pilling and overall, it’s just been an unpleasant experience trying to clean them up to look nicer when they aren’t even old.

I would never buy Bassett furniture again given...

Consistently Awesome — top to bottom and beginning to end

I find Bassett product designs stylish and elegant and, at the same time, very approachable and practical. They also have a nice variety. My design consultant (Pinky Lake) at the Rockville store is very friendly and knowledgeable — she’s just awesome! Whether for complete rooms or just pieces to complement a room, Pinky always has inspiring and creative ideas for my goals and lifestyle. It’s a pleasure to work with her!

The store manager (Micheal) is very supportive of the total team in providing excellent customer service.

Home delivery schedules are well communicated and handled. (Product build and projected delivery is always within the timeframe Pinky provides at time of sale — greatly appreciated for my planning purposes).
