Cottage Monet — Local services in Rockville

I used to enjoy this beautiful boutique. The previous associate was awesome! I asked to return a defected candle that I purchased well within the return window- the brunette lady acted like it was a gosh darn problem. I exchanged and purchased two other candles ( which I shouldn't have due to her less than par demeanor). She actually lit the candle in store to apparently verify that it indeed was defective. This was disgusting. Seeing that it went out in front of her ( the wick tab rose up from the jar b/c it was not properly adhered to the jar and I got to burn half of it- probably a defective one. The point is- have some class. As a service women- I would have NEVER done that in front of a client. People forget that we are spending our money support their businesses in exchange for goods. I could ALWAYS shop elsewhere. Shop Local/Women's Business Center has a incubator for women owned businesses right down the walkway from here-beautiful service. I went there and...

This is a charming place. In fact I was so charmed by this store I ordered over two hundred dollars worth of holiday gifts that the store agreed to ship to my home. The gifts were ordered the first week of November and have still not arrived - it is dec 10. I live in the US. No voice messages with requests for information are returned. I probably need to write this money off - but will not do so without a warning to others not to ship...

This shop has such heart and is a great little hidden gem. It's filled to the brim with fun and laugh provoking objects and snark. It has lots of wallet critical hit objects like Vera Bradley too.

The shop owner was warm and welcoming and the store was a great place to duck in out of the weather while visiting Rockville...
