I've gone here for phone repairs for 2 different phones over the last year or two. I had bad experiences both times, and I will never come back here.
First experience: Phone had water damage, and screen did not work. I came to them to replace the screen. They did, but when I took it home I noticed the finger print sensor did not work, at all. They must not have connected things properly. I took it back and they fixed the screw-up (no extra charge of course). To this day, I still use the phone sometimes as a backup, the screen touch sensors are glitchy and inconsistent, the phone is annoying to use. I think that was probably due to them doing a poor job connecting the new screen.
Second experience: I gave them another try. My phone hadn't been charging well and I agreed to replace both the battery and charging port. When i dropped the phone off for the work to be done, they of course asked for my passcode and I gave it. The older gentleman at the desk told me it would be done that day. They never called me back, and I didn't get my phone back until the next day. This is not the only issue I had but I was very upset about this. I was not expecting to be without my phone the next morning, I need it for 2FA at work! so my job was impacted. Nobody ever called me to let me know i wasn't going to get it back that night. I called first thing the next morning and they told me it was ready so I picked it up (I expressed i was unhappy about them keeping my phone overnight without telling me, he said "I just figured i'd call you in the morning"). This is unacceptable. We all keep very sensitive personal information on our devices. The fact that they did not communicate that they intended to keep my phone overnight showed a complete lack of respect of the huge amount of trust a person gives them, when they hand you their phone and give you their passcode. I checked app usage after and no apps were accessed the entire time they had it (big relief), but I think most people wouldn't even think to check that, and it's easy to abuse that power, especially keeping someone's phone for 17 extra hours without their consent. Very not okay. IN ADDITION TO THAT, the work was not done well at all. They gave me the phone back with it's case on, I did not think to check under my phone case. The phone worked normally all day but around 10pm it went 100% black. I thought it died but it was not charging, very stressful. At this point i took off the case and noticed the back of the phone was NOT PROPERLY ATTACHED, I could lift it up with my fingernail and see a bit inside. Eventually I figured out that it was still vibrating from notifications, meaning it was just the display not working at all. So, I took it back in the morning, asked to speak with the one who did the work, and showed him the problem. He asked me if I dropped the phone (I did not), and then asked me if I was sure. I definitely did not drop it and the fact that he tried to blame it on me and offered no apology for his bad work really offended me. It took a few hours, but eventually they did replace the screen (free of charge of course), and the phone is now working perfectly. But what an ordeal. And I was intermittently and unexpectedly without my phone for days which really affected my job.
Both times I went, things were done poorly and I had to take it back for additional fixes to fix issues that they introduced. In my experience, this place does not do good work and I'm shocked they are so well rated.
I do not recommend going here. The staff is usually friendly but the work is just bad, and I can't tell you what a stressful experience i had over the last few days...
Read moreI definitely recommend this repair shop for iphones! My screen was cracked in April and since then the screen would type on its own or select apps on its own and it was really freaking me out so I finally decided to get it fixed and this place had one of the cheapest quotes I could find!
I made my appointment online which was super easy and simple and the website looked professional too. Once I arrived I was greeted by a very nice man that asked me a few questions about my phone and let me know the price which was very close to the quote, only $4 more (I was surprised since most stores tax way more than their online quote), he also offered to let me pay then or pay after I got my phone back which I thought was nice and professional.
I asked how long it would take and online I read that it could take up to 4 hours but he got it done for me in about 2-2.5 hours which was great since we're all glued to our phones lol anyway he also offered me a screen protector and offered a discount too!
He also mentioned that he was trying to get the word out about the shop since its kind of hidden away so I def recommend giving them your business! I also recommended a friend who needed a mac screen repair because I loved the service so much. Also, my phone has stopped glitching since then! Sorry this was super long and thanks for...
Read moreRepair was done quickly, all phone functionality is normal (biometrics, camera), the young gentleman that helped me over the phone and in person during pickup was super helpful and very polite.
The reason I'm dropping a star is aimed specifically at the young lady that attended me during drop off and is to serve as a warning to others: do not ever give your passwords or pins to a repair tech. I was surprised she doubled down when I asked her why she would need access to my phone if they're replacing the outer screen, not even the digitizer. She once again insisted. This is a security risk to say the least but beyond that there's a reason why biometrics are used in the first place. I unlocked it for her and she then went over, what I'm assuming is a procedural checklist of functionality of the phone prior to repair, which took all of seven minutes.
Great service otherwise just be weary of any tech handling personal devices asking for this type of information. There are safe modes, dev modes and carrier modes specifically made to diagnose issues or gather information. This may have been an innocent question on her behalf, it may have not, the point is you want to keep this information to...
