We had been waiting a long time for Don Chicken to open and were super excited to visit the day after their soft opening. Not all options were available yet, but that's understandable. We tried the sweet & spicy boneless wings, the soy garlic boneless wings, the cheese snowing french fries, and the pickled radish. We chose to dine in, and the service was outstanding! Everyone truly cared about whether we enjoyed the food and took great pride in their dishes. The chicken was exactly what we wanted - hot, crispy, flavorful, and juicy. The meat was excellent quality! The fries were also delicious- crispy and flavorfull. The pickled radish was so yummy and a nice treat to cleanse the pallet in between bites. We ordered the smalls, which were extremely generous portions. The two of us could have gotten away with one small chicken and a side! Side note, we ordered from BonChon the week prior, paid more, and were thoroughly disappointed with our chicken. We will absolutely be back to support Don Chicken and look forward to trying their other offerings! DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS PLACE! Update: we went back a second time today. We tried the Korean bbq boneless wings, the tteokbokki and vegetable tempura. Extremely generous portion of the tteokbokki, the chicken was again moist, crispy and flavorful, and the tempura was fabulous! The pickled radish is one of my favorite sides!

đŸ”„ Welcome to Flavortown, King Farm, Rockville edition! Don Chicken is the kind of hidden gem that Guy Fieri dreams about on a cross-country food quest. Tucked away just enough to feel like you’ve discovered something special, this Korean fried chicken joint is serving up the best bird in town, no contest. The soy garlic wings are straight-up crispy dynamite: golden, sticky, and packed with a punch of sweet-savory goodness that’ll have you licking your fingers and asking for round two. It’s a flavor explosion that hits all the right notes. 🐙 And if you’re feeling adventurous, the baby octopus fried bites are little crispy rockets of oceanic joy, perfectly seasoned, perfectly crunchy, and totally addictive. The vibe here is warm and welcoming, thanks to the kind and friendly owners who treat every guest like family. Sure, it’s a bit tucked away, but trust me, it’s worth the hunt. Don Chicken isn’t just a meal, it’s a full-throttle flavor ride. So grab your crew, roll in hungry, and prepare to have your taste buds blown into next week. Highly recommend!

I see that the owner responded, so I have to add: I ordered spicy, the one with multiple peppers on the menu. It cannot be mistaken, because the order was by the number, and specifically mentioned I need spicy! I guess claiming “Best Korean Fried Chicken” is just an advertisement, but it might raised my expectations a little too high. The soy spicy chicken is too sweet, not spicy at all. A huge piece of tasteless sweet chicken drum that is on the outside chewy and the inside is on the border of raw and cooked. The appearance is dark and the coating is not covering the whole piece so that the meat without coating turns into dry and tough rind - do I eat it or not? Maybe there are many different styles of Korean fried chicken, but this is the style I won’t try again. The portion size is good, for $16 small size, you get 5 or 6 pieces.

This is the second time I tried this place. The first time was takeout, and it wasn’t bad, so I decided to dine in, hoping that it’d be better. It was the worst experience! The person who worked at the restaurant didn’t even greet us. My family and I moved the table and chairs ourselves for a party of 5 and didn’t even offer to help us. She just asked how many people. She didn’t even give us a menu to order and she was just standing there and giving us weird looks. She didn’t even offer to help us order the food. Overall, I didn’t care even though the service was bad, as long as the food was good, but the donkatsu was dry and hard to chew and the chicken was so-so. I spent about $80 including 3 bottles of water and 2 cans of Pepsi. The worst part was when the man and one child came in and she smiled and served them well. Later on, one couple came in and she greeted them and helped them to order food using the kiosk. At the beginning, I thought she had a long day and she was tired, but when I saw her, she treated others totally differently. I told my family that we shouldn’t come back here anymore. We were there for a good one hour...
