As hard as it is to give such a low review, unfortunately my first experience with Nagoya was definitely harder and regretful. During these hard times we’ve made it a point to support local businesses, and found Nagoya was right around the corner from our home. We ordered for pickup and throughout the process all communication stated my order would be ready in 15-20min. We arrive about 30min after having placed the order - my boyfriend entered to pick up and was quickly met at the door by a lady stating “It is not ready we will call when it’s ready”. We proceeded to wait in the car an additional 30min before I called in. A lady answered, I said “Hi I just wanted to call about the status on my order-“ and was cut off by her as she continued “It’s not ready, we will call when it’s ready, I know who you are, we will call when it’s ready” confused I responded “what” before she continued, “(my name) right? I know who you are it’s not ready we will call when it’s ready” and she hung up. Finally, 1 HOUR and 20minutes later, I received the call that my order was ready. My boyfriend entered the restaurant once more to pickup and was met with short customer service. He expressed that he felt the service thus far had been unfriendly, and the order took way longer than advertised, to which the lady at the counter responded “Well I got you your food!” And he began waking away saying “I think you should be nicer to customers who are just trying to support” and she replied “I don’t have time to talk to people like you.” Needless to say, we will not be ordering from Nagoya again. I understand they may have been swamped with orders, but a simple communication of this would have been much appreciated and understood. Instead we were left to wait outside without any idea of when our food may be ready, and were joined by 6 other customers at the time, all of which would enter Nagoya multiple times and walk out empty handed to...
Read moreMy experience at this place as a first time customer was not pleasant at all. I had came to pick up an order and I had my child with me. She went to a section of the restaurant where the floors were wet! Which that section was right next to the area where you pick your order up from….With no wet floor sign in sight… I tried to catch her from slipping and falling which caused me to slip on whatever liquid that was on the floor! After I finally tried to stop me and my child from falling on our heads I told the worker that it needs to be a wet floor sign right here and he had gotten smart with me and pointed all the way across the room to a corner telling me it was one already up… which the wet floor sign was in the corner… on the other side of the room…..poor placement. Then I still needed to pick my order up and he proceeded to tell me “you need to hurry up, I have other things I need to do” as if I was not just trying to get my nerves together from me and my 2 year old child almost falling and busting our heads on their slippery floor. First off as a customer not 1 person tried to help or ask if we were okay…everyone just stood and watched me and my daughter falling… even the worker himself…. Then that rude comment he said to me directly after me falling was rude, inconsiderate and poor customer service. If I was another race I’m pretty sure me or my daughter wouldn’t have been treated like that. The waiter was completely out of line .. a lack of basic human empathy and...
Read moreI have been buying sushi from Nagoya Sushi for several years. Most of the time my orders contain Boston Roll. So, I know very well how it should be made. Usually I do not have any problem with my orders. Except that sometimes they charge different amount for the same order. But recently something changed. Last Friday I placed two orders online, one for me and one for my son. Both orders contained Boston Roll. When I came to pick up my orders I checked my orders and noticed the Boston Roll in both boxes did not look right. It looked smaller. I showed that to a store employee but store manager showed up and told me that rolls are fine. And she spoke aggressively. So, I paid for my orders and went home. However, when my family and I started eating the sushi we found that Boston Rolls were not good. Two side pieces in each roll supposed to be the biggest ones. But they were small and did not have shrimp at all. They had just a tiny portion of rice covered by big piece of lettuce. Why the manager was so aggressive? Did she know that rolls were bad? You want to make more money by fooling your customer? You will loose more...
