NWA Women's Shelter Thrift Store — Local services in Rogers

What an amazing place to browse, shop, and spend some quality time. I have been shopping at this thrift store for years, in fact longer than any of the employees have been there, and as I am generally in the store once every day that they are open, not infrequently twice, and most of the associates know me by name.

I noted a recent review (rant) that appears to disparage the associates and management, and I felt obliged to offer a contra view. In my literally hundreds of visits to the store I have been treated with kindness and respect by all but one associate ... and mercifully she is no longer there.

Said author wished to somehow give credibility to his review by reciting his education and work experience. I therefore shall do the same. I have earned a B.S.B.A. in Administrative Management, and as well a Juris Doctorate. Furthermore, I was in retail management of a mall anchor store for over ten years. Oh, and I love to shop ... my favorite thing probably in my retirement. Being in my sixth decade of existence, I therefore have at minimum a moderate level of experience giving and receiving customer service.

No retail outlet can be all things to all people, and sometimes humans err, but overall my shopping experience in hundreds of visits, and maybe over 1000 (seriously) have been overwhelmingly positive.

When I want to "get my shop on" ... I come here and so should you (but please leave some...

High prices! And rude workers! I went in today with my mom and my baby and there was clothes hung on the same hanger that were sets. I get up there to pay and they tell me that they aren’t supposed to be hung together. I started getting frustrated because this lady kept telling me the same thing over and over. I don’t have a lot of money I’m in need of baby clothes and when things are hung together and there is 1 tag for the both of them it made me mad! She was wearing a gray shirt blond hair and when we walked in she wasn’t really nice from the start! No hi or anything. It was our red tanks are all a dollar. I hope she gets fired yelling at a coustomer throwing the clothes I want to buy on the ground than it also being my first time there was just ridiculous! Go take your money somewhere where there not money hungry and just don’t care about the people and giving them...

After several attempts to go shop there and they were closed, I finally caught them open after they "remodeled". No store hours on their door and their Open/Closed sign has both lit up all the time, confusing. I used to shop here all the time but now looks like their prices have gone up with their remodel. I wont be able to shop here. Saw several lamps that are $12 at Walmart being sold for $8 each. Antiques being sold at gallery prices for near landfill condition. Many way overpriced items with markdowns that still dont get them into the price range of anyone wanting to buy. Someone is tag happy and not really considering their market. I want to give them my money I just cant. Too many other thrift stores with much better prices and quality in the area to compete. Its a shame...Id much rather support this one than any other.
