Shoe Dept. — Local services in Rolla

Went in on the first day they were open in Rolla. Very weird vibe- the manager is NOT friendly or customer service oriented. Once we were inside my son decided he needed to use the restroom. We asked if there were public restrooms and she looked us over the whole time and said nothing then another worker close by asked the manager and she very curtly said no. The staff seemed afraid of her the whole time we were there. The staff were all nice and, annoyingly to me, overly attentive. The prices were good but they didn't have hardly any shoes in my sons size. Which is a problem I find pretty frequently- youth 11 or 12 shouldn't be that hard to stock. Then when we were checking out the cashier asked us for our email and when we asked why, she said so we could get the newsletter and we declined to sign up. The manager gave us another look and the girl had to ask how to skip that question. She was short with the worker and said just skip it if they don't want to sign up for savings and deals. Overall the staff is friendly and helpful and prices are decent. However the manager was giving off very rude/weird vibes. Maybe it was just a bad day for her idk but that plus the lack of my sons size will keep me from going back in...

While I did not purchase shoes from here the customer service is above and beyond. I'm a teacher at a neighboring school and was in dire need of shoeboxes for each of my students to create a small diorama. Julie the manager wasted no time and had over 10 shoe boxes to donate to our classroom. Not only did they provide the shoe boxes but Julie and another worker helped carry all of them out being a tremendous help as I was also wrangling 2 toddlers.
