Made the appt for the tour a few days ahead. The tour was insightful and informative and melody made it fun for the kids. We really enjoyed our visit here and would recommend it to others. They typewriters were also interesting to learn about! The kids loved trying them out. My favorite part was the school house. Go check it out!

Unfortunately I missed going inside as I got there just after it closed. But I did walk the grounds of the cabin and the walking trail that went over a wooden bridge crossing railroad tracks. Was able to take some nice pictures.

We found this museum whilst looking for something to do on a rainy morning... What a find. The volunteer guides were really friendly and informative and so keen to share anecdotes and stories. The courtroom itself is iconic but what's really interesting is the eclectic collection of objects, photos etc in both the courthouse and the rebuilt house accross the street. Afterwards we went up to Pine Street for a coffee which is the heart of old Rolla and old route 66. Well worth a visit and in the end glad...
