I have to share this horrible experience only because of the other customers having to deal with the same poor service. We have an hour drive to the nearest pharmacy and decided to use the Walgreens in Rolla as there are several other shops we wanted to visit. After the staff discussed our insurance information and past residential addresses in the presence of everyone in the lobby we dropped off our prescription around 2 pm we were told it would be ready in 1 hour. Walgreens texted at 533 pm stating it was ready. We returned at 610 pm and the pharmacy was closed. No warning no sign no pharmacy employees. The store manager said company rules prohibited them from assisting custumers in need of prescription pickup when told that we really needed this to be taken prior to surgery for the next day, but she couldn't get it. when asked why it was closed she stated it has been that way for 3 weeks. We left and headed back home...53 miles. We returned the next day at 127 pm and the pharmacy was closed... for lunch. The entire staff took off for lunch. Again, none of the other employees were allowed to assist with pick up so we returned after 2 to find a newly placed sign. The manager said the hours were changed 3 weeks ago but the date on the sign says 16 APRIL but that wasn't the point. Those times should have been posted for all to see and well in advance. They made this a huge inconvenience which could've easily been avoided had they been transparent with their new schedule. Knowing this they could've also allowed the regular store staff or manager to assist with the distribution of non narcotic prescriptions. There is a CVS 1 block away and their hours are much more accommodating, will be using them in the future instead of this place. They also alternate their lunch breaks so to avoid a break in service...
Read moreHad a very bad experience today with Chris from the pharmacy.
I had a prescription order submitted a week ago. For several days I was getting notifications that the drug was out of stock but more was on the way. No problem, I kept checking the website each day to see the status and it was always the same.
Today the prescription doesn't show up in my account at all. No status. No indication that the order was even placed.
So I decided to call and I get a guy named Chris on the phone. I ask him what the status was on the prescription. He says it's out of stock. I asked him if they have any idea when they will be getting more. For no apparent reason he starts getting very rude.
"NO! There's a shortage."
So you can't give me any indication on when you get your next shipment? I asked.
"NO!"
I then ask about the prescription not showing up on my account on the website. I said, "I just want to make sure you still have my order because I'm not seeing it in my account anymore."
He says, "I stored it!"
I said, "I'm sorry what does that mean?"
"I stored it! It's out of stock and I stored it!"
I said, "Ok, so you have my order and you are going to notify me when it's ready?"
He then hangs up on me. Unbelievable! I wasn't being rude or demanding I just wanted to know what the situation was.
It's time to find a new pharmacy, I guess.
UPDATE: About an hour after this review and my call with Chris I received a call from a very nice woman from Walgreens notifying me that my prescription was ready. How is it possible that Chris had no idea when my prescription would be ready? Saying it was out of stock, a shortage, ect. Then it is filled just an hour later? That guy needs...
Read moreThis is the only company/store I have ever had horrible, downright terrible issues that do not get resolved, ever. If you expect their pharmacy to actually be open, chances are theyâre going to be closed. I went to go get my medicine 50 mins before they close the pharmacy (not the store) and was told that there was nobody on the premises allowed to sell medicine. The confusing part is the only reason I came to get my prescriptions was because 15 mins prior I got a text saying my medicine was just filled. How could a pharmaceutical company fill a prescription without a licensed pharmacist on the premises? I do not understand how a business that is essential to every living breathing person can even afford to be open only 9am-6pm Mon-Fri, let alone being closed for even more time than that. A few weeks ago they closed the pharmacy for a week straight, how is it legal to withhold life-saving medicine from the rightful owners without giving any sort of assistance to help in the mean time, like temporarily sending them to company or even another Walgreens. They wonât do that though because they will lose money. Thatâs also why they fill you prescriptions when theyâre not open to make sure that you canât take it somewhere else and that they get the money. DO NOT TRUST THIS STORE OR COMPANY, I am switching to Walmart immediately as they actually answer the phone, have extremely good hours, and the employees treat you like a person and not an obstacle to remove from their...
