World Duty Free — Local services in Romulus

I can only assume that things have changed since the previous ratings. When I was in the store yesterday I was helped immediately and with kindness and courtesy. The employees were able to answer all my questions and even went above and beyond when there were issues with my flight. Both De and Kyle were excellent and I can't thank them enough for being so nice and helpful!

Edit: I returned to this store several months later. I arrived about an hour before my flight and was told that I was too late to purchase anything as the employee whose job it is to bring purchases to the gate had already left. I was disappointed and surprised that I was unable to make any purchases despite having a reasonable amount of time before my flight. Once I arrived at the gate the employee tasked with bringing the items was not there. She ended up arriving at the gate several minutes after me and then proceeded to wait for over 20 mins before the plane boarded. I don't understand why they would have such procedures in place, which inconveniences customers and leaves employees in a position where they are standing around and waiting for extended periods of time. A lot of folks before me reviewing this store have complained about stupid stuff. To the guy who complained that his liquor purchase was confiscated at his connecting flight, did you bother to tell the cashier at the Duty Free store that you HAD a connecting flight or did you assume they are mind readers and know where your final destination is just by looking at you? To the lady who complained they are never open in time, the last time I knew they opened everyday at 06:00 hrs Eastern time and closed at 22:00 Eastern time. Unless that has changed, my info is from 2020 and earlier. DTW is not a big enough airport for them to be open 24 hours. To the lady who was surprised that liquor or tobacco buying was reserved for international travelers only, That is a US-Customs rule not a duty free rule. But any and all duty free stores at any US border or airport has to adhere to that rule, or they could lose their license to operate. What is duty free? It is basically tax free, that is all.
