Booking Brides Nest was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. I first noticed that the owner, Stephanie, works a lot with our photographer, @antonioprophoto. Because our photographer was such a joy to work with, we had a feeling Stephanie would be amazing as well. Her Instagram account showed pictures of beautiful brides with soft glam makeup. As soon as I visited her website, I knew that she was not only a talented makeup artist but also an organized, transparent business owner. She made her pricing readily available (I didn't have to contact her separately about it), and I was able to instantly figure out if she was available on our wedding day. The booking process alone made it easy for me to decide to work with Brides Nest.

I was able to schedule my trial on the day of my engagement photo shoot. Stephanie listened to my thoughts on the soft glam look I would like for myself, asked me how my makeup looks on a daily basis, and took into consideration the type of makeup I do not prefer. She was down-to-earth and fun to chat with! It was clear that she enjoys what she does, which goes a long way when you book any vendor. Thanks to Stephanie, my makeup looked amazing in all the photos, and it lasted several hours without requiring a touch-up. This definitely helped because we did our shoot at Griffith Observatory around sunset and dusk, so I had no time to look at myself. My hair stayed put throughout the entire session as well. I appreciated that she recommended using extensions.

We still have a few months to go for our wedding, and working with Stephanie is making the process much less chaotic for us. She is quick to respond to all of our questions. She was more than happy to schedule another trial session for me because I'm still not sure if I want to put my hair up or down on the big day. She'll also be doing a trial for my husband.

I found Bridesnest through IG and a friend’s referral; I am so happy I decided to go with Stephanie for my first ever makeup experience! I rarely ever use makeup, but when I do, it usually just mascara, brows and a lip color, so going into this experience for my wedding, I didn’t know much. I had my first trial for my engagement photos at the crack of dawn with Stephanie and welcomed me into her studio with her calm and cheerful self and made me feel right at ease throughout the whole process: we had good conversations with the best playlist playing in the background. Naturally, I was really nervous since it was my first time getting make up done, but she made me feel relaxed, pampered and gave me autonomy, while also giving me her professional input, which is something I truly value and a feeling that’s not always felt during pampering experiences for me (I tend to have a hard time saying no and stating my opinions).

For anyone who is feeling the slightest bit unsure of their makeup, just make the appointment for the second trial because I am SO happy that I did! After seeing my engagement photos, I gave Stephanie some feedback of what I wanted done differently for my second session and she executed exactly the look that I was going for, despite me not knowing the makeup verbiage. I went to Stephanie to try the ombré tattoo for my eyebrows for the first time. I’ve had my eyebrows micro bladed before. But doing the ombré was a different experience. Upon arriving Stephanie was very friendly and welcoming. We got to it right away once I came in and not once during the process did I ever feel uncomfortable or unsure of my decision to do this. She makes great conversation hahah. She mapped out the right shape for my brows and the shape was pretty much the same way I usually fill them in. I’m glad she wasn’t trying to do something different than the natural arch and shape. I’ve seen the horror stories. The actual tattooing part I don’t have any complaints, she put the numbing gel before we got started and I was pretty comfortable the whole time. After we were done I was really happy with how they came out. I don’t want to make a comment about the color because I know that it is always darker before they peel.

it took just about a week for them to scab and heal all the way. And let me just say I’m obsessed!! I love them so much and I’ve been telling all my coworkers, friends and family about her!
