For starters walking up to this establishment the entrance has a fold out sign that says “EXIT ONLY” which leads you to walk to the other side only to see it has been locked and blocked by a cart. That’s the smallest of problems here but the first indication of fault for sure. Visiting from out of town my Fiancé and I went to Albertsons to enjoy their typical wonderful selection of beer etc. We selected two different types of exquisite brews, proceeded to the check out line. Was met by a woman who asked me how I was doing, I replied with “blessed” and was given no response until she asked for my ID. I pulled my wallet out and showed her my ID. I was then told I’d have to pull my mask away from my face for me to purchase beer. At this moment it turned into a very uncomfortable process, I thought she was kidding. She wasn’t. I leaned back and pulled my mask away and showed her my face. That still wasn’t enough for her, she wanted my ID out of my wallet. I then showed her. She proceeded to my Fiancé and asked for her ID. Since my fiancé had witnessed what had just happened with me, she presented hers, except she pulled it out completely for her to avoid the previous interaction I had with the cashier. She then said she wouldn’t accept the ID because it was vertical. It’s a current ID valid in every way possible and we are both in our mid twenties. Perfectly well maintained IDs, we wouldn’t travel without them. At the end of the day it’s upsetting that I had to put my well being ahead of purchasing something from Albertsons. And even when I didn’t this woman was very rude and obviously just didn’t want to make the sale. We both look exactly like our IDs. This place was our choice since everywhere closes early because of COVID and it was too late to go anywhere else and get good local beers while gas stations only sell major brands. My well being vs a beer sale with two valid IDs. We purchase fine all the time at our local Albertsons with the same IDs. It’s a shame we were treated this way completely rude from the start. Not only that we were followed outside and verbally harassed by the woman with her mask half on next to the bald white man. They tried to bully me and make me feel threatened because I caught them all not wearing masks??? Making me take my mask off? What kind of sick joke is this? I thought COVID was to be treated as a serious matter everything is operating different now but these people seem to think they have the better opinion therefore they can harass and make people feel uncomfortable by not following protocol? I’ve worked in guest services before and this was beyond unprofessional. Still can’t believe I was followed outside and harassed for what? Trying to give you good business with two valid IDs and even showing you my face when everyone is supposed to wear masks?

I grew up frequenting this Albertsons because I lived right down the street. I still live close, and it's nice to be able to go to a neighborhood store. It is also nice inside the store, but a little cluttered near the entrance. Tonight I was happy, but it's a shame the way one of the cashiers behaved towards me. I was buying the bi- colored corn which was on sale for 5/$1.00 and the cashier behind me told my cashier it was 2/$1.00... I had carefully checked the price on the two differing bins, yet the cashier behind me kept trying to correct me, saying in a bold tone "the corn is two for a dollar." I kept calm and explained that the corn against the back wall was 2/$1.00, but the bi-colored corn in the middle bin was 5/$1.00. Again she told my cashier loudly, "the corn is two for a dollar." Finally a manager came and corrected the price for me. I'm sorry, but cashiers are supposed to listen patiently to the customer and send someone to do a price check when the customer makes a claim. They ARE NOT entitled to argue with customers whatsoever. I worked as a cashier at Walmart, and I worked in world class customer service for 3 years at Melaleuca the Wellness Company. The cashier in question was on the first full size register on May 29, 2021 at 10pm MST. Albertsons management, please have a talk with her. This is all I ask.

Watch out and check your receipts. False pricing. The price tag says $7.99 per 12 BTLS (Bottles) of Sol. When I got to the cashier, the actual price was $17.99 not even $18.99. So the cashier called the service manager on duty who was “Ann” she went to check the prices and came back trying to persuade me that the price tag was for a 12 pack can of Sol, which they don’t even have for sell, meaning the Ann is incompetent, because being a service manager she cannot even read her own price tags or she was trying to fool me into believing the price was for a different product rather than being humble and honest and admitting the store possibly made a mistake and honor their price tag. She rather disrespect customers trying to fool them than accepting their mistakes. So I went back to get a different pack, but I decided to leave just because I cannot be certain that they are going to hold their price tag. What is the pint of selecting the best deal if you cannot be certain this store is going to honor it at the cashier? By the way, the service manager did not remove the price tag after she went to looked at it even if she obviously will not honor the price of someone else catches their dishonest marketing strategies. Update: I stopped by Stripes down the road and found out they have better pricing for the same kind of products.

Not as good as as the other location in terms of service friendliness and especially ,time. Selection on the other hand is way greater than the other location with a lot more in their deli section, as well as fresh fruit and their bakery is just a little bit better. This location is really busy though and always packed so prepare to wait in line. Other good things about this location include store location as well as hours and of course their alcohol, butchery section, and pharmacy. Even though it is the slowest ( by far) pharmacy in town. The freezer section is a whole nother story huge to say the least. Their freezer section ia as big as some stores here in town. This is the older one although if you've been in Roswell as long as I have you know that the original Albertsons used to be next to Kmart. Since this location has been open it's been nothing but improvement. Service, friendliness and a kind staff are another thing though, as the checkout Lanes in the West location are always so fast that's not the case here. Staff also some are friendly some aren't it does have its exceptions. As my niece left her wallet there in a basket it was promptly returned to the customer service desk and picked up without a hassle within 30 minutes of her losing it. So there are some exceptions when it comes to staff. On the other hand some of the clerks can be rude and pushy while some are a pleasure to deal with. Don't buy a lot of meat here it's always on the more expensive side but as is my experience it's usually pretty good. Seafood is always top notch especially if you buy fresh like the fish they have or the crab legs which are one of my favorites. Few little things that I won't get into right now but all in all the experiences are more or...
