What can I say about Brilliant? Their name encapsulates the essence of their business model. Small boutique with the quality, variety, prices, and expertise that rivals their big name competitors. Giving full disclosure, I’ve known of Jamie and Katie Jaffe for years. I was introduced to them by my fiancé. Before I enlisted their services for my fiancé’s ring, I knew there was something special and new they were attempting. I’ll take that back about new. There is nothing new about opening up your own business like your home and make people feel wanted like being around long time friends. The problem is, so many businesses have done away with this idea. I’ve walked into big name jewelers such as Jared and Reis-Nichols and always came out like I walked off a car lot. Brilliant isn’t about high pressure sales. It’s about making you feel at ease while making one of the biggest decisions of your life. It’s about building a relationship that lasts a lifetime. Before money or the idea of the engagement ring came into being, Jamie and I talked like friends do after knowing each other for decades. If there wasn’t more pressing business at hand, I think we would have been engaged in conversation for hours. When we get the business at hand, we went seamlessly. We both had the same vision which was something special. No mass produced rings like Vera Wang and Neil Lane. Don’t get me wrong, there are some beautiful rings in those collections but they lack soul. I look at my woman like a snowflake. There are no two that are alike. If you feel that way about someone, why get something that someone else already did? When Jamie said he wanted to do something special, he delivered. When I first saw the ring, I teared up. People who know me know I don’t do that. I couldn’t help it because it was like Jamie knew what was in my heart. He pierced into my soul and made something so beautiful. I apologize for the sappiness, but I have to put it all out there. Words can’t even begin to express how incredible Jamie & Katie at Brilliant Atlanta are, really. Not only does Brilliant Atlanta have the most flawless, gorgeous diamonds and jewelry that is unique and customized to be exactly what you’re imagining, but you truly cannot beat the honesty, trust, and “treat you like family” care that you receive. Brilliant Atlanta is family owned and operated by husband and wife Jamie and Katie, and I’ve honestly never met more down to earth, genuine people. My fiancé loved them from the get-go when he went to them to make my customized (gorgeous!) engagement ring and I finally met them today when we went to pick out our bands. Brilliant Atlanta is honestly like no other place and is better than I could have ever possibly dreamt of! The entire experience was one-of-a-kind and it’s SO important to work with people who truly care about you as a person and not just as a customer. Jamie and Katie never make you feel pressured or rushed, they’re honest and real, they make the experience so fun, they’re experts in what they do, and they’ll give you their opinion when asked, but ultimately they create exactly what you’re wanting and looking for. This post is about three years overdue! In my total perplexion of how to figure out wedding planning during the engagement process, this memory serves as one of the very sweetest.

I’m from out of town and had been looking everywhere for a yellow diamond ring. During a visit to Atlanta, I happened to stumble upon this shop when I was looking for veils nearby. What caught my attention was a gorgeous display of yellow diamond rings.

I went inside and was greeted by Jamie and the very kind and gracious woman who was working with him that day (her name escapes me, my apologies to her). Both of them were so attentive and warm.

I asked how much the rings were that caught my eye and realized they were out of my price range. Jamie however, went above and beyond to not only make something work for me- but he literally replicated the ring I had seen years ago and fell in love with (the reason why I had wanted a yellow diamond in the first place) and he did this all within my price range.

I left there feeling ecstatic and elated! I was so happy. It goes beautifully with the engagement ring my husband had custom made for me. Jamie had a good eye in making sure that they matched.

I wanted to write this not just because I’m an extremely happy customer, but also because Jamie and his employees deserve special praise for treating customers not just like guests, but as friends. I left there marveling at their exceptional kindness. I had a great experience in there and enjoyed getting to know them and swap stories while I was there.
