Since working from home, I was in need of a quality, leather reclining chair. I called Designer Home Comfort and spoke to Michael at length. I had a lot of questions, and Michael answered all of them. He sent me close-up pictures while we were on the phone, and I settled on the Stressless Consul reclining chair, size medium, in a Batick Cream color, with a brown wood stain base! Michael took my payment over the phone, and immediately emailed me a paid invoice.
Michael also emailed me a âPersonal Computer Tableâ product accessory link, in addition to his YouTube demonstration video link for Stressless chairs.
Although his store is in Roswell, Georgia, this company delivered my chair DIRECTLY to me in Dallas, TX, from his showroom store with their White Glove Service. His delivery driver contacted me and advised me of the date/time of their arrival based in his GPS. Upon their arrival at the exact day/time he provided, when I came to greet them from the back of the truck, I saw my chair was fully protected with wrapping. My chair never touched the ground while the delivery guy was climbing up 3 flights of stairs, until they were inside my house. They unwrapped the chair in front of me and placed it in the exact spot I wanted it. I also received a folder from Designer Home Comfort with my paid invoice, warranty information and cleaning tips inside it.
The Stressless Consul product itself, was beautiful with no issues. Solid quality and worth every penny! It was exactly as Michael described over the phone, in addition to what I saw on his YouTube videos.    Read moreSo the original person I spoke to (Courtney) on July 8th, was an absolute treat. I was looking for 2 very specific chairs, a stressless wing office chair. Apparently they had one in stock and the other was going to come from their NJ warehouse. I purchased the one they had in stock with a brown base and one with a black base. So one I should have received in a week delivered to my door, at least thats what she told me. Now its the 17th and it was supposed to be delivered tomorrow to my door.
The shipping company calls me and tells me they made a mistake and wont be able to deliver on the expected date of tomorrow. So.... what does that mean? I told her im going on vacation and I come back in August. We might be able to do it by then or something she said. I lost interest at this point. I could have ordered it from Sweeden and got it in a months time. Thats how I have all the other stressless chairs. Maybe 2 months. But it wouldnt be that far from when I am coming back to begin with. I am not sure what the store is like as a storefront, but I can tell you that I am very unhappy with the results of spending 5k and not getting what i paid for. I requested a refund. I am not playing any funny games. Avoid buying something online from them they have in "stock". As a business owner I would have told my shipping company to TURN BACK around and come pick up the chair that someone paid for....
   Read moreI recently bought an Oslo sofa and 2 large Stressless recliners from Designer Home Comfort. Great customer service before the sale. One of the recliners is on a Signature base, the other is on a Classic base. Sounded like the same recliner to me, only a different base. This was an error. The Classic large is actually a medium sized recliner. Daniel was so rude when I called to inquire about the difference. He said it was my fault for not knowing that they were different sizes. He could have told me before the sale, couldn't he? The recliners are comfortable, so that is not the issue. I would have gladly waited for the larger recliner and paid the extra $300 dollars, or waited for the sale price on the Signature base to come around again. Price difference would not have mattered to me if I had known about the size difference. Shame on them for not informing me.
