Poor manager desicions for customer service. I have been several times at this location in Rolling rd Round Lake. On my last visit I have a bad experience. I was paquing mi groceries on the customer counter as I was filling up my bags, a couple came next to me and I notice that they have a lot of products and to be nice to them and give them more space on the counter I scoop over near me one of my 2 bags all ready fill out. So I continue paquing put all my bags on my cart well I thou thought all my bags and left home. Once I get home realized that I was missing one of the bags Within 35 min. So I drove back to the store and I asked one of the cashier's if by any chance someone returned a bag of groceries that I have left at the counter and she said not that she knew. So I have to ask her to call a manager over to see if someone else knew anything.. Very quick a manager show up while I was waiting. and after I explain the situation he told me that he can't do anything about it. I had asked him to check the camera and all I wanted to know was if the couple took the groceries by mistake or someone else. I had to tell the manager to take my information just in case that they returned the bag about $15.00 to 20.00 worth of groceries because from his answers I have the feeling that literally he was making me feel that it's my responsability to check before I left which is fine but I wasn't looking to press charges against anybody. I told him I was afraid to buy the same products but what if they were very honest people and once they realize the those products didn't belong to them they will return them? So finally I told him to take my information, gave him a list of what I remember having in the grocery bag off my receipt and left. Currently I have a job where I work with customers and we are concerned about customer care.. Customers come first. I'm not sure what ALDI's policy is in a case like this. But I thing that by courtesy to the customer as a manager in charge I think that I would give the customer the products mentioned that were left behind and write off the products. I have had worked in a retail store that compete with other grocery stores and I remember the store manager have made his decisions based in the customers situation and give the best customer service. I'll be waiting to the end of the business day to hear from the manager other wise I'll just repurchase my products. I'm not blaming no one but myself for not double check before I leave....
Read moreTurn off the experience that I had at this location I was there yesterday I purchased a pack of lamb breast to cook on the grill for dinner last night. Got home when I opened up the pack it ripped up my house so bad did I had to open up all windows and disinfected my whole house. That’s that bad it’s melt. I put everything back in the bag sealed the bag, put it in my refrigerator with the receipt. I was there first thing this morning to return it when I approach the cashier. I explained the situation to where the smell was coming through the back at the time I told her you probably do not want me to open his bag in the store because it’s kind of embarrassing. It’s gonna smell up the whole area she agreed I seen the young lady stocking meat so I told her the situation so you probably want to just take this in the back. No, she insisted on me, taking it to the register stating that the cashier had to scan it. When I told the cashier she open the bad it smelled up the whole area, so embarrassing so after I got my refund, I went back in the meat department I noticed they put out some fresh Lamb breast, so I tried I said let me purchase this again Sis is fresh. It was dated for 829. The end of the month I paid for it and I start thinking on my way out the door I said let me open this up just to make sure before I get I get home I went back to the young lady who is stocking me extra because she opened it with a box cutter put a little cut in it so I could smell it. She did when I smelled it it smelled exactly like the one I return. I informed her that they Are all bad and she need to pull them from the chef she smelled it and stated to me maybe that’s what lamb supposed to smell like I told her are you serious no meat in this world she smelled that bad it is spoiled she did not pull Jim from the chef as I requested her to do so so I’m advising everyone do not buy the...
Read moreI live in the neighborhood right behind the store so I like the idea that I can just run in there if I'm out of something. Problem is, I can NEVER rely on them for that because they usually are out of stock on items they advertise, but even worse is the fact that they NEVER have any cashiers available to help so its virtually impossible to ever pay them a "quick" visit. Their employees wait until the lines have at least three or four customers waiting and only then do they send a single cashier up to check everyone out while the rest of the registers remain closed. Its very inconvenient to wait that long as a customer especially since with the amount of registers and employees they have there, they could easily just have them all do their job and check everyone out quickly. Or at least put up some self-check stations like other stores are doing. In any case, there definitely needs to be much better managing of cashiers at this store and they need to stock their items better. Otherwise it kinda defeats the purpose of going there and I've found myself wasting a lot of time there only to walk out...
