I walked into JCPenney with zero expectations actually, more like avoiding it for years because I assumed the prices would be sky-high and not worth the trip. But wow, was I wrong. This place was like walking into a secret warehouse of discounts that no one talks about. I donât know if theyâre trying to be low-key about it or what, because I swear these deals arenât being blasted online or anywhere else I usually see ads. It's almost like theyâre hiding these sales for people who actually show up in person. If thatâs their marketing strategy, itâs working now, because Iâm telling everyone.
We saw Liz Claiborne handbags for 50% off, a rainbow wall of crewneck shirts for $5.99 each, Pokémon backpack sets, and even 4th of July sandal sales for under $30. You could literally redo your whole closet or back-to-school list in one sweep and not break the bank. I was so surprised, I had to stop and take photos not for clout, but to remind myself to come back, because my memory is mostly folders of random thoughts unless I log stuff visually.
While I was browsing and snapping pics, an employee from cosmetic came up to me asking if everything was okay. At first I was like, âUh oh, am I doing something wrong?â but she wasnât rude at allâjust doing her job and keeping an eye on things. Honestly, it's rare to see staff that attentive anymore. She didnât hover or make it weird, just checked in and moved on. Five stars to employee for being present and professional.
The store was also super clean and well-organized. Clothes were folded, shelves were full but not chaotic, and everything felt intuitive to navigate. It didnât feel like a chore to shop here, which for me is a big deal because most stores either overstimulate or underdeliver.
JCPenney is officially back on my radar. Great prices, organized layout, attentive staff, and deals that...
Read moreI went to find some last minute things for a special event for my childrenâs dedication tomorrow as well as some other things. Their staff were already nice to begin with even though it was packed and they kept having to open up different registers around the store. I even dropped a blanket and a staff member went around looking until they found whonit belonged too. Another staff member replied to my boys playing Marco Polo. Although stressful otherwise to shop with little ones they made the difference. However what prompted me to write this review is the fact that Inasked a staff member if there were family bathrooms in the back so I could no leave my merchandise there because I needed to nurse my NB daughter. She said there were but that she had a better place for me so I wouldnât have to feed her in a bathroom or by the bathroom were there was a lot of traffic coming and going. She room me to a little quiet place in the store where people were not shopping at. In a world where breastfeeding is stigmatized. I have had staff at other retail stores ask can I feed my child in the bathroom because I sat on bench to feed my baby. We donât cover our faces to eat so we shouldnât have to cover our babies faces to feed them. So thank you to that wonderful lady who didnât even think twice. I will definitely think twice before going anywhere else to shop. Thank you for your kindness, for understanding restoring my faith...
Read moreI have been shopping here for years and always enjoy using the coupons for a new shirt or pants. Usually I can find some unique clothing pieces or a great purse. Also, right now they have several vast clearance racks in each section of the store that contain either seasonal or last year's fashion.
Tip: They have taken out the scanners so you will have to download the JCP app and you can scan the tags for pricing and deals.
Good parking lot, some shady areas and call me lazy but I like using the automatic doors button so I do not have to touch the door! đ There is also some seating inside the entrance where I always see a dad or husband waiting for their significant other to finish. Usually watching sports. :)
This particular store has large and small appliances, beds, bedding and a salon. My daughter in law and I went for a couple of free salon events for Valentine's. They had a makeup and hair opportunity to see how we liked a different look. There was also a drawing for a free flat iron which we did not win. đ Their fashion jewelry section is not very big though and the mirrors are scarce...
