Ice Cream Parlor: Round Rock So you like FROYO. The Frozen Yogurt! Maybe you don't even like Froyo, you just like Ice Cream. Then I challenge you, no.... I Double-Dog-Dare you to try the Yogurt Experience and not walk away thinking this is the best Froyo I've had in Austin. I'm serious. There are a ton of places throughout ATX that serve and propriete (is that even a word?) the frozen goodness, but there is something special about Yogurt Experience. It must be in the quality of the mixes they use, but they are delicious. Their toppings are the usual fare: chewy brownies, granola, gummy bears, but they also throw in the Boba and Tapioca beads if you're into that. I recommend the Strawberry boba. Weird but surprisingly good. I really wish they had hot fudge and hot caramel, but they do not. They just have the simple syrups, but that's okay since the yogurt is so good. Also, if you are lactose intolerant, they have delicious sorbet options as well. Give them a shot and don't forget to drop your quarter and guess your froyo's weight to win it free. ...
Read moreFirst time coming to this yogurt shop, and was greeted very nicely when I came in. I noticed that the greeter was also talking to another person about a punch card and expected she’d mention it when I paid. This was not the case but I thought maybe she just forgot. We were a party of four and were waiting on two others. When my friend and her son got there she was also greeted by the same girl. But when she paid she did receive a punch card. I over heard her say it was a double punch day (Tuesday) and since she bought two she gave her four punches. Meaning that if she had mentioned it to me, I should have received eight punches. She disappeared to the back and another boy was at the register so I asked him about the punch card. He asked how many froyos I bought and I told him 4. He gave me a card punched with 4. I didn’t want to be annoying so I left it at that, but consistency would be much better...
Read moreMy girls and I go here a lot. They always have a good section of flavors, and enough toppings to satisfy without going overboard. I tend to be a fan of their Flavor of the Month. Banana Brûlée and Hazelnut are really good or if they have Coconut, it also makes for a great base. If you're on Paleo, they do have a dairy-free option that is sweetened with fruit juice so you can still find something when you go. When I was trying Paleo, I'd go with their dairy-free flavor and fruits, pecans and almonds as my toppings. Ok, and chocolate chips. The prices are decent. Make sure you get the "punch" card, especially if you go as a family. It'll only take a couple of visits to earn the free one. They usually aren't overcrowded so the seating is usually ample. The staff is always friendly and if you want to taste something before you get it, ask for a...
