I’ve heard great things about this establishment and have gone in several times and been happy with my in-store purchases so much so that I decided to try out a custom order. It’s been 3 weeks and I have yet to receive my order when the initial wait time was 2 weeks. Upon calling the first time to check on the order, I was told that it would be in the following week. Upon calling a second time after hearing nothing the following week, I was told that the order hadn’t come in yet. There was no apology for the delay or no indication of when it would arrive. I was also informed that the orders come from overseas which I was a little disappointed by as I thought the owner/staff were the ones creating the pieces as opposed to them being made by someone overseas. So, here I continue to sit without my item (did I mention it is a gift?) and no reassurance of when I will ever receive it.

I went to the store looking for a gift for my sister's birthday. When I stepped into the store it looked beautiful inside but I cant lie I was underwhelmed with the jewelery pieces, and a lot of products weren't available for same day pick up. When I was expressing how I really wanted to buy my sister a gift from there. The ladies at the place didn't really seem eager to help me look or find other options but she was forsure following me around the store trying to make sure I wouldnt steal the costume jewlery that is over priced. I was the only shopper at the time so I was disappointed because I was looking forward to supporting the store and walking out with a custom piece for my sister's bday but when asked about same day services she told me that I would have to wait 3 days for custom pieces. I’ve shopped with Harper Ray for years and have always loved the portrayal thats given from the IG page. Very girly, very girl power and black owned which I loved. Today I was excited to check out the new location in Royal Oak. I went in with high energy expressing my love for the new location, however the energy was not reciprocated. The girl behind the desk yelled across the store and asked me if there was anything I needed help finding and I said no I have a store pick up, but I’m just gonna look around because I haven’t been to the location yet. She proceeded to come from around the desk and stood next to me and my sister the whole time while we walked around the store and watched us the whole time I was very uncomfortable and I’m not sure if I will support this store anymore.
