This was my favorite burger place. I have been there 3 times. The first two times the food and service was incredible. Both those times we had to wait for a table which was a good sign. I had the burger and it instantly went to the top of my best burger list. However, the last and most recent time I went my experience was not the same. We were seated right away and there were plenty of seats available. The waitress took our drink order and then disappeared for almost 20 minutes before she returned to take our food order. Well not dissapear because we saw her serving other people but still; the wait was rediculous. Then after we ordered our food it took way longer than normal; probably because the restaurant now filled up and people who got in after us were getting their food before us!!! When we finally got our food I decided to inspect it which I normally did not do but I had a hunch. My medium burger that I ordered was charred and was black aka super well done! I said w/e maybe it is just a bit burned on the outside but NOPE. What was normally a thick juicy burger was a thin crispy meat wafer. I was extremely dissatisfied. I am not one to complain about my food for the wait staff to take it back or bring me something new; you never know what they will do to your order in the kitchen knowing you were dissatisfied. This meant that they were not getting a tip and probably not receiving my business at least not in a long time. What is sad is that the crispy meat wafer still tasted good but the char flavor was just char. I would normally not care but this place is not cheap and my meal was nearly $20 (burger, Mac n cheese side & a glass of water). For a $15 burger and they make it the complete opposite of how you want it cooked is unacceptable. I will probably try them again due to my first two great experiences however I would be cautious and make sure they know how I wanted it cooked. Some places cook everything the same but the waitress asked and they still...

My wife and I made a reservation at this restaurant on my father's birthday for my father, our 3 kids and ourselves FOUR hours in advance, specifically requesting a booth. We spoke with a man on the phone who offered us either a 6:45 PM or 7:15 PM slot — we chose 7:15 PM. We arrived at 6:50 PM and checked in with the same person we had spoken to earlier. He mentioned we might be seated a bit early, which we appreciated.
At around 7:05 PM, we were escorted to a large table in a back room. We politely reminded the host that we had specifically requested a booth when we made the reservation. The host claimed there was no note about that in the system, but said a booth had just cashed out and we could wait a few more minutes. Since we were still early for our scheduled time, we agreed.
What happened next was extremely disappointing: a different family who arrived after us was seated at the next available booth before us. When we asked to speak to a manager, the same gentleman who took our reservation and was now seating guests came over. He claimed the other family had arrived “before” us — but then changed the story to say they had called or arrived at 6:45 PM, left, and then came back, so they were somehow “ahead” of us in line. That explanation made no sense, especially considering we had a reservation made hours in advance for a specific time and request.
At this point, we had waited nearly 30 minutes past our reservation time. Frustrated and feeling dismissed, we left. The whole situation felt poorly managed, and frankly, I don’t believe the person we spoke with was an actual manager — it felt more like the staff was covering for one another rather than taking responsibility.
We left hungry, disappointed, and with no intention of returning. Definitely a waste of...
Read moreWhere to start? I have been to Vinsetta Garage in the past and have always walked away highly satisfied with every aspect of the dining experience. That was then. This past experience was nothing to rave about. The atmosphere was good and everyone seemed happy to be here. My server presented a less than welcoming air about her, and that was before the Snafu of my dining experience. I ordered the chili steak, medium. Another in my party ordered the same a little more Rare than that. A party of 5 we were and the wait for the entree's seemed a little lengthy at more than 30mins. They were busy, but about 50% capacity at best. My entree came at just above room temperature and I was ready to let it go and try to enjoy it. That was until I looked at my side of Mac and cheese and staring at me was a non-cranial piece of hair! Um sorry, but no.. I called the server and asked if she saw what I saw. She immediately picked the dish up and stated she would take care of the mistake. Another 20 mins and here came my steak. I was so ready to eat, as the rest of my party had been finishing up. That is until I realized, I don't like Rare! Lack of attention to detail, check. Mis handling and incorrect orders, check. Seemingly being put off for sending an order back, check. And check please! Yes I have been in the food service industry, and can't fathom a faux pas of this degree for a $200.+ 30 tip. As a server, I believe being courteous is a must. And if I'm not mistaken, also responsible for regarding what is being served. The kitchen staff should keep ALL hair netted so little curly visitors are not given an opportunity to intermingle with the Patrons food. And after all that took place, not a peep from any manager on site. 1 less customer. And perhaps an...
