We got 2 comps from this place and after over a year they got police and took our computers claiming we didnt pay anything towards them, they will lie and cheat and if you dont keep your receipts of payments they WILL take away whatever you bought from them. They somehow got a writ saying if we dont have the computers they will take what they want up to the value of what you supposedly owe them, we didnt even get a chance to defend ourselves and prove what we paid them, word of advice never pay with cash unless you keep the receipt forever cause they will try taking their 'property' back, print out any card statements of your payments and put them somewhere safely, they even threatened to take our vehicle as payment for the computers before we told them we had the computers. They claimed we went out of state with the 'stolen' property, when the only thing we did was move cause the house we were living in at the time of purchase was falling apart. Supposedly hired a PI to track us down who I guess claimed we fled the state, we moved like a mile away and thats it. All this trouble for $1600 computers... If I were you i would stay as far from this...
Read moreI own a computer and cell phone repair shop in Russellville, as such in some ways Davis Computerworks is a competitor of mine. However, I find Mr. Davis to be an outstanding gentleman. At the time of this writing he employs a very knowledgeable staff. I have even on occasion entrusted some of my own clients to Davis on occasions where we are too backed up to maintain our normal turnaround time and expected high level of service. As consumers we expect the best all the time but we also understand that no matter how hard we try we cannot always be 100%, that being said so far 100% of the time in my experience none of my clients or I have had a negative experience with Davis Computerworks. I'm happy to do business with them whenever I can.

Read moreDavis ComputerWorks is a part shop! Motherboards, processors, all that stuff the major retail chains don't have the guts to stock! Praise Jibbers!
I can't claim to know anything of their computer repair services, I came as a retail customer. But saving me from a 3-5 hour drive to Kansas City, Memphis, or Dallas is worth confetti and a marching band.
Too many repair shops dismiss the idea of stocking parts, some claiming that the parts lose value too fast (hardly ever true, unless everything sits on the shelf for two solid years), offering 'we can special order anything!', (yes, I too have a phone with NewEgg installed).
To touch a motherboard box, see a processor's included cooler, and bring it all home without waiting 3 days for 1-day shipping and a lost FedEx driver, is something sorely missing from...
