Check-H Grill & Buffet — Restaurant in Russellville

Check-H? More like Check-mate, because this is one of my favorite establishments I've ever been to, and allow me to explain why!

Firstly, the food. I got a chicken breast with mashed potatoes, rice, and water. The chicken was an explosion in my mouth. My chicken was juicy, tender, perfectly seasoned, and grilled to perfection! I've never had a better one. My mashed potatoes were a little bland, but mixing my rice with them made it fantastic as well. The rice had a sweet taste, a nice touch. I also couldn't forget to mention the rolls. Oh, word, where do I start. These breads were the only ones in my life that were soft at a restaurant. They were buttered, cooked, and presented to a t with honey butter that everyone else loved. Even my water tasted wonderful. Everyone else's shrimp and steak were said to die for. Still on the same note as the food for 5 stars, the service was also lovely.

Secondly, the service. We immediately ordered, got sat down by the nicest waitress, and were provided our sides and utensils. After ordering at 1:31 p.m., we received our food 1:56 p.m. Only a 25-minute wait for everyone's food! Everything was excellently sanitary as well. They even had a woman vacuuming with a machine that I don't know. Here's the kicker, it wasn't loud. Everyone still ate in piece. Service is also five stars. Continuing on a very positive, we have the atmosphere.

Third, the atmosphere. When walking in, you are met to a house looking place. Carpet covered the floor all throughout while paintings and patterns lined the walls. Sports played on the tv as well. The only negative about the experience was the music. Music played, but at a very low decibal rate. It was also arguably repetitive and boring. However, I'm mainly just nitpicking. Even so, I would love for more energetic or Western style music to be more enthusiasticly played. The atmosphere gets a 4 since I can't give 4.5.

Finally, the final price was... 90 BUCKS! My family of 5 ate here! That's an average of 16 dollar per person. Compared to other restaurants dishing out prices of around 120 dollars, this is a christmas miracle. These are the best prices I've seen in years. Bargain prices for sure! The price is another 5 stars for sure. Then, my conclusion.

In conclusion, come here for astounding food, Michelin star service, a lovely atmosphere, and bargain prices! Only one recommendation, get some music...

Chicken liver was good could use more breading and there is one livers I got has a bitter taste. The beef stew was raw and the chicken was undercooked. The beans were good, better than the other beans I ate at other restaurants. Overpriced for the kind of variety of food you get. It is a lower class of Golden Coral. Friendly staff and friendly customers. You get one plate from the counter then you will have to wait for the server to bring you one for your next round then you have to ask again for another one if you want to eat more. There was no soup on only chili. I like the way they serve the salad dressing cause it is on kind of like a pitcher than scooping it...

We ate here for the first time this evening. They had a good variety of foods, and it was all fresh & very good. The desserts are delicious!! We fish a lot, and we are very particular about how are fish are cleaned before being cooked... we don't like fish most places, but their fish was VERY good! My husband got seconds of the catfish even, which is unheard of for him! He got to talk to the owner and compliment him on the fish (and other foods). Dale is very nice and takes pride in what he offers to customers. We will definitely eat there again and will recommend it to others....... you should go! You won't leave hungry,...
