I did a full color dye service plus keratin add on, and this is the worst service I had ever had on my hair. The lady kept trying to upsell other services to which I kept saying no, and then she insisted that I had to pay for a service add on which I had said No to from the beginning, and she said she must add on the Olaplex and I cannot opt out as this is something that gets added to everyone's color service, so I said okay that's fine then, althought this seemed rather unprofessional as I would have appreciated if when I scheduled my appointment in person they had told me that was required but they stated that, but it wasn't disclosed. Anyway, the lady then proceeded to blame my hair for being tangled as she yanked it with her tiny brush. I have never had someone disrespect my hair and blame me for it and then stated I needed to get a hair cut, I said no I don't want a haircut, I know my hair and I know that she should have used a detangler spray because my hair is curly and gets tangled throughout the day, which I had just come from a work shift so obviously my hair was bound to have some tangles, and I had mentioned this when I talked to her. Anyways, after the keratin treatment she blow dried my hair and started doing the straightening, she didn't fully dry my hair nor did she apply thorough heat protectant and so she burned my hair as she straightened it wet with an old overused straightener. Lastly, the keratin treatment was useless, my hair was still frizzy which could have been from it being burned, and the color faded in a lot of areas in two days. She mentioned at the end of the service that I should have booked a "multi color hair service" to which left me dumbfounded because here she was throughout service trying to sell me other add ons for the service yet she couldn't make an expert opinion from the beginning to tell me I should get that service instead. To which leaves me to believe that this is not a professional service nor is it one of value. It is an overpriced service that has no regard for people's hair. I have found various salespeople to seem disinterested in interacting with people and overall lacking in product knowledge. I felt like I knew more about what MAC offered then the girl who was working in the area. I was in today to pick up a few things with my daughter. We waited in the check out line for several minutes while THREE salespeople chatted about various products and other things. At first I thought they were restocking something but apparently they were checking out another coworker. After a while, I asked if I was supposed to check out somewhere else. One girl walked away and the other two looked at me annoyed and said no we’ll help you soon. They continued to talk for several minutes. When the remaining girl finally got to me, there was no greeting or sorry for your wait. The first thing she asked for was my number to put in the system. Read moreI have been trying to find the right products for my face for a while. It’s a mess. Oily, textured, sensitive, and dry in certain patches (random little patches too). I am struggling on my own to find the right things for me. Until today! Boy oh boy. I’m so glad I walked in today and met Jenn (or Jennifer), I believe she’s the general manager, she’s absolutely wonderful. She listened to what I needed and what exactly was going on with my skin. She asked follow-up questions and didn’t make me feel like a bother at all. She color matched the skin tint for me and walked me around to find exactly what would be good for my face. She even provided me with tips and valuable information. I wasn’t having the best day and with the steps she took like taking her time, talking to me, and listening to me it all really made a positive difference in my day and my outlook.
